Always thought he was a nice enough player but didn’t see him as an elite signing. Not sure how he fits at a Chelsea team who already have FAR too many players either. All that being said I’m very happy to see the Headchoppers miss out once again.
With a bit of patience, the cash they’ve had could have helped them to build a genuine challenger. However they got so caught up in their bigness (both club and fanbase) that they’ve pinned themselves into overpaying big players. If they’d have done a PL version of what KLD has done here they’d be getting set for a genuine breakthrough. The longer they’re a fundamentally stupid club the better!
They never existed tho, it’s just 2000 fewer vacancies. And that’s business. Supply and demand and all that.
And 2000 less ‘lower level’ people who will eventually reach the c suite. We’re cutting our workforce off. All good for talking to Wall Street this quarter, less so when thinking about actual long term business survival.
So we have players who can cover multiple roles. Disagree. City are looking at reducing their squad... you don't need two players per position. You need quality who can cover a few positions.
I'm confident that the powers that be will have done all relevant due diligence, but Paddy Vieira reckons Diarra has a ****e attitude.
That Diarra is “set for his medical” and that we’re “in talks with Nice over Bulka”. I wouldn’t take the latter as a positive as the lad was clearly just rehashing the latest from Keith
No argument from me on that. The world turns round, and it is going to turn round in the next decade and eat into jobs that always thought themselves immune to fast change. The blue collar worker has had immense change to handle over the last thirty or so years and the results are known to everyone. But now, the hitherto unbothered white collar sector has a whirlwind approaching it and it will not be pretty for many of those caught up in it. My advice,..be a really good Polish Goalie!
I really like this deal, just makes so much sense. 1st he's a quality player, very strong defensively and can cover 2 positions (LCB and LB). 2nd its a free transfer so it allows us to spend elsewhere, while we have still brought in a quality player. 3rd I still believe Cirkin is a PL fullback in the making and by bringing in an experienced player on a free, doesn't mean he just comes in as 1st choice and gives Cirkin a real chance to retain his place.
