Opened with She's A Star last night, Did Sit Down but wasn't on the original set list to do. But they play a different set each night. Seen them numerous occasions and think that was only the 4th time I've seem do Sit Down live, personally not a favourite of mine tbh. Come Home is always a banger live but alas didn't do it last night
Has to be in the list along with Born of Frustration and Sometimes ... expect reports of rather handsome, silver haired, sexagenarian type breaching security and invading stage to remonstrate, if sold short ...
You don't need to mate, just know he wrote a lot of songs, and some groups like Queen learned from him. He wrote for Chic, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Duran Duran and Daft Punk to name a few, but I don't know why I'm telling you, because you probably know all this ****.
I think I've got a couple of his music sheets in one of my folders, when I use to have to learn some of his stuff, which is mainly about the rhythm than the actual vocals, like he was doing with the example in the short video for let's dance. He reminded me actually watching that short video, why I liked moving to electric guitar over acoustic in the end, because you can learn it without the noise, not being plugged in - because a lot of stuff is just finger memory, so you don't need to hear it as such when practising. Obviously that was before they started having all these new gadgets, which work on the same principle with headphones.
I wouldn't say I was a big fan of Nile, I just appreciate his knowledge and contribution to the art of it.
So do many it seems, just seems to have passed me by. New contributions on the War thread. You'll like.
Tbph with you he would have passed me by, but I sort of got pulled back on it by my tutor, who was all in to the theory side of things. Off to war thread to look lol.
