Morning all! Still distraught about yesterday, despite it being another point towards safety. The hugely deserved 3 would have been better. Hey ho. Anyway...full day of work today to take my mind off it, and although i have alternative arrangements, i'm seriously thinking of heading to Millwall on Tuesday for the Yooff Cup...anyone up for it? MS does not deserve a slaughtering on Twitter but I do not think he had his best game IMO. He did not cover half the ground TD did, he was immense yesterday As for AM and NN, what a pairing we just have to try and hold onto NN in the New Year Please SD and backroom team do your utmost to buy him, again we are at the mercy of other teams of who we hold onto Going out on a limb here but would rather have NN than MK if we had to chose one that is!
Miserable grey, wet afternoon here but just about recovered from yesterday's disappointment. That said, I thought we played very well with Mariappa and Hogg outstanding and Deeney beginning to look like a centre forward. Leeds were poor...I've rarely seen a side with such a feeble midfield but our workrate and constant closing down made it hard for them to get any rhythm going. Leaving out Eustace and Iwelumo makes us much more mobile and gives us far more more passing options. If there's one message to take from yesterday I suppose it's the obvious one...you have to take scoring chances when they come, however well you're playing.
Afternoon all - thoughts on yesterday? Well Leeds fans must feel good after that piece of robbery, they were very poor. But we have to learn to kill these games off...Whilst I don't agree with Sordell getting abuse on Twitter, it is almost understandable. As we were leaving everyone was moaning about his performance, or lack of performance - but at the end of the day, if you put yourself on Twitter, expect to get some abuse, it goes with territory. Otherwise I really liked what I saw yesterday and Aidy M was awesome, he probably put $500K on his valuation yesterday and I drove to Essex with a smile on my face. Proper old fashioned East End Wedding Reception last night - free bar and Jellied Eels, what else can you ask for! Taking the family for the annual W_Y Xmas family meal at out local Thai restaurant and I have tomorrow off as well, so a few beers will be consumed! Good to have you back OFH and sorry to hear your sad news...
