Just quick post about Danny Green and Michael Morrison...

Both are currently on four Yellow Cards apiece, would anyone think that it would be a tactical move for them both to get cards against Oldham next week, meaning they'd miss the Yeovil tie.

I dont want anyone thinking Im doing a dis-service to Yeovil here but they're probably our easiest fixture over the Christmas Period and what with the run of games between Yeovil and Brentford it would give them a slight rest.

Either that or you can leave them in the side and then run the risk of seeing them suspended for Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday or Sheffield United...

When do the new suspensions come into force (ie when they move the goalposts to 7 or 8 yellows for a suspension)? Is it beginning of January, or later?

We'd be mad to dismiss the Yeovil game as 'easy' - playing away from home on Boxing Day is always difficult, even if Yeovil are struggling.

    Thanks for the link, Tweakes.

From that, it looks like there's no need to worry, as after the Orient match the bookings will effectively go back to zero.

Ah right - small concern over, I only ever thought that bookings went back to Zero as from March.

Certainly would never count Yeovil as an easy game, their pitch will be like Walsall's yesterday which'll make our passing game a lot harder, when I said easy I meant we probably stand more chance of getting three points against them than Oldham or Orient.

I think it is pathetic that Green has got 4 yellow cards, considering he has only played in half our matches. There is no excuse for that. Morrison has more excuse, being a central defender mistimed tackles go with the territory.

I think Green's disciplinary record has massively improved this season compared to last. Someone can correct me, but I think he picked up a few reds last year, and plenty of yellows.

I remember there was a prediction thread at the start of the season, and I picked him for most red cards because of this.

We're second in the fair play table, by the way, behind Chesterfield

Yeh I saw that as well IA - Unfortunately its the BBC Sport getting their facts wrong again as the Charlton programme states that Green got his four against Scunthorpe, Hartlepool, Stevenage and Brentford (JPT).

Funnily the Statistics page says Morrison has four yet the graphic page stating who played in which games says he's only been booked against Sheffield Wednesday and Stevenage??

I know Danny Green definitely has four cards though as he talked about his disciplinary record on the O/S a few weeks ago and how he was trying to stay on his feet more.

Surely the Football League stats are the ones that matter, not the stats in the Charlton programmes, and they (the FL) say both players have 3 yellows each in league matches.

If the JPT counts, then yeah, four for Green.
