If that was the case then we'd walk away.

Also, we're going after proven PL players, these are going to be far more expensive. It's not us being ripped off.

Look at Elanga, we did a desperate last minute bid for £50m last season, he then had another good season and we now offer less? Just comes across as amateurish.

    Trafford is another one.

Let’s hope so. Meanwhile Chelsea are about to spend another 200m.

They are signing Gittens and Pedro.

Pedro has turned us down because apparently we had an agreement when he was at Watford and then we pulled the plug for Isak.

He’s as such pissed off with us.

    Cheslea can just **** off.

We’re focused on the wrong areas for me. I’m not saying they’re better, but Adeyemi, Bakayoko, Akliouche and hundreds more are more available than the ones we seem fixated on.

Don't agree. It would depend upon how much we wanted the player and whether we thought someone 'bigger' will come along. We will know where we stand in the pecking order of life.
Bid for Elanga was, as you say, last minute and we would have added some to reflect that. Also one less year on contract. We offer what we think is value less some as you never know. Can always increase but you can never decrease. Offering what other side want sounds more amateurish to me.

    I disagree on this.
Yes, there's offering under but take Trafford for example, it shouldn't be dragged out this long.
Mentioned ages ago by sources within club that each bid has to be authorized by PiF. I assumed with Jamie Reuben now on the recruitment side this would have sped up.

Should point out though, that all of this is my interpretation of media sources

I don't look at that I look at a players abilities and how they will perform with a better side around them. It's actually something recruitment teams do.

Pedro is a very good football player at the right age.

Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton all wipe the floor with him. We are clearly operating at a much higher level than Anderson. Since Tonali replaced him in midfield we've gone to a different level. End of story. Good luck to him but he isn't good enough for us.

I'd just take Elliot for £40m and be done with it. No need to lose our best winger ( in my opinion) to gain another
