I thought I'd start a thread to see if people could justify their top and bottom 3 finishes in the Premier League next season. 1. Man City ( This is Guardiola's last year, he wants to leave with a bang plus he's already said he has to shift players that are good enough, but unhappy with play time, he's bringing in better players) 2. Liverpool (They've spent big and already have a formidable attacking force who are strengthening, but, Man City will be better) 3. Arsenal (Though, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man Utd have players good enough to be up there, they've been badly managed or the tactics have been all wrong. Newcastle can bully, cheat or pay their way into 3rd, but, hopefully they won't) 18. Brentford (They've put their set piece coach in charge and are selling their best players. I have a feeling they'll struggle) 19. West Ham (They only stayed up because of 3 rubbish teams plus Man U and Spurs having internal conflicts) 20. Burnley (Selling their goalkeeper and extending the signing of a 36 year old striker. This is for the parachute payments as I can see them dropping again) Sunderland to finish 14th Remember this is opinion based, no one is right, until their right.
City - Pep’s last season will go out with a bang Liverpool - by a point or another small thing like that Chelsea bottom 3 Wolves Brentford Burnley
Really difficult to choose for top 3 but I fancy Man City Liverpool Chelsea II think Chelsea will do well and like the manager as I think he is good at making teams play as a team and not a load of individuals. I also think Man Utd will be better this season as I do rate Amorim but the problems at that club run deep so I could be wrong. Bottom 3 18th Wolves 19th Brentford 20th Burnley I really think Leeds and Sunderland may well buck the relegation trend and can also see the likes of West Ham Everton and Fulham struggle. The manager for Fulham is the only reason I think they will stay up and I would love West Ham to go down again.
Based on the current squads 1. Man City 2. Liverpool 3. Arsenal 18. Wolves 19. Burnley 20. Sunderland Before people have a go - our current best side has Patterson, O’Nien, Mundle and Roberts starting. We’ve been linked with some good players but right now the current state of the squad isn’t great for a PL campaign. It’s tough to properly predict in June, anyway.
1. Man C 2. Arsenal ( if Arteta signs a centre foward) 3. Liverpool. 18. Wolves 19 West Ham 20. Burnley
Id agree it’s almost pointless predicting right now. Not to take away from the thread. And I’d agree completely based on current squads we’d be down
