Surely that's Xenophobia rather than racism. Not saying it's ok, just wanting to get our labels correct here.
Kobbie Mainoo (20), Adam Wharton (21), Jude Bellingham (22) and Cole Palmer (23) are clearly better. I like Anderson but I can't see him getting near the full England team as I think it's a position we're stacked.
Anderson is nowhere near getting into the England midfield, just like he would be nowhere near getting into our first team.
GG - "Trafford 100% signing. Pope has confirmed it". WRONG - No he didn't he "See you soon" NOT "Welcome aboard" GG - "Anderson is going to be one of the best CM in the world. We should never ever have sold him".. WRONG - We would have had a points deduction and not qualified for CL. GG - "Anderson is 25 right????????". Wrong he's 22. GG -" Your a plonker." Wrong it's You're a plonker. GG - "That’s bollocks. Anderson is just turning 22. And he’s playing brilliant in an England team hopefully about to win the Euros. I think he’s the best England midfielder we have at the age he is at. I would ask is there one you think is better???" - Wrong. He's turning 23. GG - "Anderson is as good as Tonali at the same age. And he was ours." - Wrong. Tonali was a full international Italy international at 19. Has played at the highest level and actually won stuff."
Don't agree and palmer is a different position and type of player. Wharton I really like he is quality. Anderson deserves a call up for sure imo... He's a top player. He had a better season than all listed for one reason or another. England never get it right... Samey, big 6, media darling stuff for me is always a problem. Henderson still getting games and Mainoo is actually a pretty crap player.
Anderson is a good player. Some people just can’t see a good player and prefer foreign names. Shame we couldn’t have kept him.
He's a top Premier league midfielder now and I think the goals he bagged at youth level will come soon. He's been sold out of necessity not ability and it won't surprise me if he is back here in the future. Newcastle need another cm to compete with Joelinton now though and he's a different player.
I'm personally really hoping we land him because he's right up there and without Isak we see a dramatic fall in ability up top. He keeps that ball, can carry it, and has something about him.
Sesko is available at same price apparently. Much prefer him. Though I know he's going to end up at Arsenal
I think we're starting to see the reality of the gulf in revenues and anti competition rules aka psr. Whoever we go for there will always likely be at least one big 6 club or card holding European club gazumping us. We have to see who's left behind like we did with Guimereas and Isak. Always more fish in the sea maybe that sekso will be left on the shelf.
I think you need it get over it mind mate. He's gone and we're probably going to out grow him and most players at the club over the next 5 to 10 years.
Tbf, our slowness is what the issue is. We drag out negotiations over weeks which then alerts "bigger" clubs to the player
So it's all Trev's fault? No, I get you it does feel that way. But it's also why I think we might pull out a signing after 1st July that hasn't been leaked to the press yet, for that very reason. Keep it quiet and get it done after 1st July.
Hmmmm I'm not sure I buy into that one. I mean, the clubs will all know who's potentially available and all watching the same players in the main. Newcastle probably have a good idea who's available for what and they'll fall back onto the other option at a certain price if they can't get Pedro etc for what those figures are... I guess option 2 is available at around what nufc have offered for Elanga and Pedro.
Ever thought it isn't us dragging out the negotiations but, at least for me, the Agents using us to catch a greedy 6 Club? Seems we are conscious not to get ripped off which is fair enough but it is more likely Agents and/or players just waiting for a so called bigger club before committing when one doesn't come along.
