Fender is like a lot of the modern day luvvies. Very selective about which principles to have on any given day. He won't be mentioning the Saudi executions, he's got to watch that bottom line.
Flew back into Ponteland airport tonight to see barcodes from another flight. Had to laugh, there this one bloke must've been in his 60s with his brand new top on from last season with Winners 25 in gold on the back so he doesn't forget
Been to Durham today and everywhere you turned there was a barcode top from every era. Some right "look at me " tossers
I have to say I find it all a little sad, the North East was my birthplace and I still love it. I've always felt at home everywhere from the pit villages, to the cities and all over Northumberland and the Borders. Going to Newcastle, shopping with my Mam, or Cullercoats for our pit holliday felt quite normal and ordinary. We were all just Geordies and would be happy to say so when we travelled or went up and down the country for work or whatever. It's now so intense and 'black & white' with lines drawn and divisions made. At one time we'd be divided for matches but all together in normal life ... ... the Mags have made it feel like like they've turned their town into a nasty little bunker where everyone but them are excluded. Real shame in my opinion.
Find it funny that PIF have put more money into Chelsea and city this summer via the club world cup they are funding than Newcastle In turn giving Chelsea the funds to beat Newcastle in the race for ped(r)o while Eddie howe is asking for a whip round to buy a championship goalie
One day the daft buggers will realise that they’re just another piece of the PIF jigsaw. If Staveley hadn’t pestered them and talked them into buying the club, they wouldn’t have gone anywhere near them. I’m pretty sure I recall her saying they had a budget and intended to stick to it. The deluded lot honestly believe they have access to the entire PIF fund and only PSR is holding them back. If PIF really wanted to, they could easily get several of their companies to sponsor the stadium, training ground, canteen, etc… and pump whatever they want into the club, but that’s never happened and they have to stick to their allocated budget.
Born and raised in Seaham, lots of the vermin around now, was never like this, if you see one have a word
I love Durham but it’s horrific when the Mags are playing, boozers packed with ‘fans’. I’d say supporters but that’s clearly not the case whilst they’re in a pub watching.
