I’d dispute him being one of the stars. No one had heard of the bloke two days ago but he’ll have his fifteen minutes now.
He's been spouting this rhetoric for the last 18 months. He's pretty outspoken on a lot of social issues in many of his songs. He's definately well known in the music circles, I had tickets to see him last year
Will be listening to Gurriers and Sprints this afternoon, followed by Black Country New Road, all bands I'll be seeing later this year. Other notable acts for me will be Goat, Brian Jonestown Massacre and Nadine Shah. Headline tonight - forget Olivia Rodrigo, I'll be watching the Other Stage where the party will be with The Prodigy blasting out
Seen Bob Vylan probably about 4 times in the last few years First time I was uncomfortable about what he was singing about.....and well yes I and all of us should be uncomfortable, he hits home about a lot of wrong things in our society.I went back because of his resonance of what they was singing about, and the whole show they put on. I went to a gig specifically to see Bobbie and Bobby, which I must say I enjoyed and I agreed with what he was saying But then a friend went to a gig in London where he turned on a woman in the front row, really nastily, well over the top in a very misogynistic way. Further rumours about their attitudes to women., and also gossip about their management style of self publicity has made me rethink who I should be supporting. Saw the stream yesterday before it disappeared. To me it was a bit too opportunistic and again self promoting.
