Mate, don't go there. I don't want to turn the thread all political again (!) but I well remember them all here in York during the 2000 Foot and Mouth outbreak with "Buy British Beef" stickers festooned all over their Toyota Landcruisers, Jeeps, Mercedes, and other foreign 4 x 4s.
I'd rather have struggling farmers fiddle the books to get extra dosh than the thieving MP's and the pissed stained crusty's who turn up for 10 mins in the HOL for £300 plus quid a day.
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNdygC9p9/ According to Klopp... Fekir didn't fail a medical, we pulled out at the last minute because Alisson became available. If we'd signed Fekir, we wouldn't have had the money for Ali. Harsh that we told the world that he'd failed a medical on his knee. Glad we went for Becker instead though
Here's the thing, does a player ever actually 'Fail' a medical? Surely there is no such thing, a medical only identifies medical issues and then it on the club to decide if they want to take the risk on what has been highlighted. It was well known that Fekir did have dodgy knees at the time, so the medical would have shown that.
Its a colloquialism. It simplifies the results for people. You buy them thry pass. You don't they fail.
According to Nabil Djellit via X, we’ve agreed a €1 million deal with Senegalese side Diambars FC for the 15-year-old, who starred for his country at the recent Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations. Ndiaye isn’t eligible to make the move until December 2027, when he turns 18, but our staff have clearly seen enough to act early and ensure he joins the reigning Premier League champions when he can.
I can’t watch that video but from what I read That’s not what he said? He said if we sign fekir we wouldn’t have had money for Alisson. Never said they pulled out last minute so we could buy him Fekir even has quoted it was his agent for why it didn’t go through I had a problem with my agent, my adviser. It was the agent responsible for the deal not going through. Of course I was disappointed not to go to Liverpool, very disappointed because Liverpool are a great club."

Depends if we stick to our price. We've fallen into that trap before, overvaluing a player we want rid of. Not the only ones, ManU are in a real mess holding onto a value for players clubs only want for the right price, that nobody is desperate to buy. Napoli and A Madrid are clearly interested (but not desperate) in Nunez, but neither will pay what we paid for him. We will probably have to make a loss on him if we want to move him on.
I understand Liverpool are holding out for £70m for Darwin Nunez. I don't think we are going to get that in Europe.
Links with Guehi hotting up again. Still not sold personally but lfc don’t get many transfers wrong so happy to be proven wrong on that one.
