I really like Diarra but still hope we go for Lennon Miller as well. I want a British core and he is the best prospect in Scotland so would like to add him to our 2 local lads in CM then add Diarra to Enzo - plus 1 more would do nicely for CM

 

I wonder if Phil smith not rubbishing it and actually confirming he’s on our shortlist reads good for Nixon’s story. He gets fed a line from the club

I didn't really read it that way, but I do think Phil is just regurgitating all the rumours and knows nowt new.

If it's for free to make up the numbers then I'm willing to accept it would be useful. As long as there's more minutes going to our young lads, but think it leaves us without any "destroyer" sort of midfielder to break up play.

Thinking about the current rumours:
Le Fee €20m
Bulka €20m
Diarra €25m (I think we'll offer the 25m but sway the deal with a clause if we stay up and others)
Vanat €17m
Miller €10m
Lauriente €18m
Henderson €0m

Would be €110m spent with RW, LB, CB x2 and a backup RB imo. Plus of course raising funds with sales.

Yep my concern would be that 'destroyer' type but I do think lads like Miller can be that person - very intelligent at winning tackles - plus the energy of Enzo, Neil, Rigg and Diarra would help us be hard to play through

We will be smart with the money I spend i think, can't just throw money at it - we will find some real bargains as well

 

Yeah I think that would be a pretty great start and hopefully leave us room to get in the rest of what's needed, suppose a midfield 2/3 of players who all get a bit stuck in would make up for it.

 

Agree with all this, also if we do go down, Miller is way more likely to stay.

Doesn’t surprise me at all that he has a lot of interest. Think he has so much potential. Really hope we get that sorted and he shows what he can do in the Prem.

 

Honestly don’t think I’d sell Mayenda for less than £30m. Gonna be world class

 

From what I hear it's just a increase in terms not a fear he wants to leave or owt.
