It's the same with snow, Scotland gets snow and it's business as usual but England gets a bit of snow and everything comes to a standstill
Funny, I could have sworn shools and bridges were shut in Scotland when that storm hit. As I've already said 165mph was 1 gust over the very top of the highest Mountain.
They did - most places closed for a half day but if a similiar storm (or stronger) hits England the press will go over board and it will be a national emergency! It's a bit of wind for **** sake... And we gave it a good name
Scotland gets hit by strong winds more reguarly with the worst it hitting areas with very low and sparse populations. If a storm hits a very densely populated area such as London it will cause far more damage. It's the same with Earthquakes, Tsunami's or any severe Environmental event.
So whats your excuse when snow hits because for the past couple of years everytime yous have even seen snow all your schools have been shut yet up in scotland where the weathers worse schools remained open, hmm.
The councils are **** and don't grit the roads, people moan and cry about the snow instead of just getting the **** on with it and teachers will look for any excuse not to work.
Countries who experience difficult weather tend to be better prepared, it's not rocket science. What's your point anyway? Are you chasing the 'deal better with snow' trophy? 'We're pure better at keeping our schools open so we are'
Countries with bigger budgets generally deal better with the weather arsehole. I'm not chasing that trophy Scotland owns that trophy
Aye lock down cause bridges got shut and roads because of tipped over trucks and fallen trees, your right we should've just kept everything open and left everyone to fend for themselves
Erm no. You are going on about how the Scotch are the bestest ever at keeping the place open and I pointed out that the place shut up shop the other day because wee Morag left the door open while using her hair dryer.
How did we "shut up shop" schools in Perth and Kinross Councils entire area had 5 out of 83 school closures, hardly shutting up shop now is it.
