That's sad to hear about Ömür. He's a brilliant, well-rounded player. It's such a shame we haven't made it work. The Walter management really seemed to do a lot of damage.

 

He came on in second half of the QPR game possibly at half time. I thought his performance was outstanding, it stands out in my mind and I was saying to myself this kid is a world beater. Dont often say that about any player.

 

QPR were all over us in that game and Oscar seemed to take control of it himself.

 

I've just looked at the MDT for that game, just about everyone on this board had their socks blown off by his performance.

I recall hearing something about Omur and Tufan being very close, and he found it much harder after Tufan left which I can imagine ins't helped when the manager decides you're not up to scratch, but his preferred position was one that might as well have not existed in Walter's team which relied heavily on wing play
