A sarnie for the coniseur who likes something a bit different - pickled onion sarnies with tomato sauce! The big ones are better but silver skins can also give that bit of a crunch when you bite into it
Following on from my Donner meat in pitta bread "sarny", this comes a very, very, close second.... Garlic BREAD base, donner kebab meat, chilli sauce, salad. Eat the salad, spread the meat out over the garlic BREAD, fold it in half makes a massive "sarny". (Its called a "garlic special" also from Bridge End Kebabs in Chester le Street). Food of the God's.
Some barmy buggers on here mind. Fish Finger is an unreal sarnie. Crispy Lettuce and some Tartare sauce. Mouth is watering. And to clear up some obvious confusion. Brown sauce on sausage, red on bacon.
So they are 2 of my fav things. Together might well ruin both for me for life. You lot must have had some terrifying day before pay day bait boxes is all I can think of.
Home made brown bread, not too thickly cut. Lots of butter. Freshly cooked chips, proper chips, cooked in an open pan in beef dripping. Lots of salt and vinegar. Pot of steaming tea. Health Food, before the term was invented.
Kebab has to be accompanied with a healthy serving of alcohol to kill the taste so should be eliminated forthwith on the grounds of substance abuse. The bacon sandwich is going to be hard to beat but we need a shout-out for the Savoy dip and pease pudding.
