Ive yet to hear of interest in a striker that really makes me think we could stay up. I'm hoping we are quietly negotiating something for Tolu Arokodare from Genk or even Brian Brobbey who might want away from Ajax.
Quite a few teams want him, Sunderland fans wanted him before he went to Lecce Anyone we go for is going to be a gamble
Mate, Arsenal are being quoted prices of £80 million plus for Sesko and £65 million + for Gyorkeres (that Orta didn’t think was worth £15 million). Maybe we’re being asked for ridiculous prices?
I don't expect a Sesko or Gyorkeres. I'm just saying some of the links are so far underwhelming. The positive is that the 49ers usually get someone nobody is talking about. I'm hoping those unknown players include the likes of Brobbey and Arokodare. Big strong physical quick strikers who can get us up the pitch. That's what we'll need. I'm quietly confident the 49ers and red bull have something up their sleeve. It will be someone we haven't heard yet by the underwhelming click bait names we've been fed.
I’m saying maybe they have approached the players you mentioned (I’ll be honest and say I’ve never heard of any of them) but have been put off by the money being asked for them? Forwards cost big money that we certainly can’t afford.
Lyon relegated from Ligue 1. Firesale incoming. Players include 24 year old Argentine number 10 Thiago Almada, 20 year old left winger Fofana and 24 year old Georgian Striker George Mikautadze. Those three additions would put us top 10 if they stayed fit all season. They are dream signings which would ordinarily be out of our league but if there's a fire sale then we should be tossing our hat in the ring.
Three players that couldn’t keep them in the top tier of an inferior league (according to all pundits) will definitely keep us in the prem?
Different strokes too. Barca were in incredible debt a couple of seasons back so what was their remedy. Buy some new players and completely rebuild their ground. Must be cheap building firms in Spain
I was in Barcelona a few weeks ago and took the red tourist bus which goes past the ground. The Nou Camp and the surrounding area is one huge eyesore of a building site and looks a total mess. I see that the stadium rebuilding has been delayed and isn't due to be finished until the end of the 25/26 season but, judging by the state of the place, I think that's optimistic. I was going to get off the bus for a closer look but didn't bother.
