Adama Traore would definitely improve us. But we’ll sign better than him.

Our current best side has Mundle and Roberts starting. I sometimes think people forget that.

Tbf @LD19SAFC hasn't done anything wrong here.

I was glad we're signing someone with pace and he agreed.

Pace and power isn't the be all and end all but it is certainly good to have, especially the way we are going to play this season.

    Arguing over nothing.

Adama Traore is streets and streets ahead of Roberts so yes he'd get in our team. Would I want him? No. But he'd go straight in as one of our better players and he ain't even that good.

Would absolutely walk into the current side - that was basically my point when he was mentioned <laugh>

Not arguing. Just saying power is not the requirement is made out to be. In my opinion.

Traore is a prime example of how the bias shines through on power. Oversized and fans seem to latch onto the strength factor. He is genuinely a player I would not want to watch in an SAFC shirt. There are others I could say the same about.

Wasnt digging out any posters at all. Jusy observing the demand for power seem overplayed to me.

Just watching some Gazza highlights. He gave physically strong players a headache and a bruise or two.

Yeah, wasn't meaning you tbh mate.

I agree power is not the only thing we should be looking at.

The way we are going to set up we need pace on the break to cause teams trouble. The same way RLB had Lorient set up, and the same way the mags and forest do.

We're 3s on to go down. We aren't signing Zidane ffs, we need players to suit our system.

Glad to read others saying that pace and power isn't the be all and end all, what happened to skill and technique?

I’d say pace and power are more important for teams who lack possession and need to counter at pace, like we will. Obviously the players need to be good footballers as well. It’s about balance.

Then as we develop a side who have more possession then we would prioritise skill and technique higher.

One of the things I've really liked about our recruitment under Speakman is a lot of them have really good football brains. I hope that continues as we've seen how it contributed to our play off wins.

We'll need to punch above our weight in the PL and bringing in more clever footballers like Le Fee will give us an edge.

Nothing of any significance tbh ...

... I'm just going through my messages and someone had sent this today.

I'm just sorting Hearts tickets so haven't had the time to get back to him.

We were linked in January as were Luton. He was at Lyon as a youngster.

Yet he could never, in a million years, get that assist in the play off final. Great ball at feet, utterly hopeless when he has to use it
