You immediately believe Iran, a country that can't even tell the truth to its own citizens. There's another surprise.
where have I said I believe them ? I’ve said they’ve denied it I trust Iran about as much as I trust Israel, so go figure
Posting a screenshot that just shows the Iranian position does give the impression that you believe their stance. Why post it otherwise? Again, indicative of a lack of self-awareness of how a number of your posts are likely to be received.
There's not telling the truth, and then there's purposefully cutting off the internet and telling everyone that Tel Aviv is in ruins, just to save face. As Orwell so brilliantly put it: "The definition of freedom is the ability to say 'two plus two equals four', all else follows." Dictatorships are marked by their insistence that two plus two equals five.
To be fair mate, I've been Israel all though this **** fest, but Israel need to step back...put it down as whatever, but step back this once.
Why? If anything, I think they need to step back from Gaza and just carry on in Iran until the latter is utterly finished as a relevant country.
Drop the sanctimony ffs. The screenshot is from the bbc showing the Iranian response, it was directly after my comment about them denying it. And Smotrich and Katz saying they would ramp up the war. Do I believe unequivocally believe Iran, not in the slightest. Do I believe unequivocally Israel, not in the slightest either.
Because that will make the world a safer place You accuse me of bias in this and here you are calling for the destruction of Iran
It's like everything in life mate, you don't always have to be right, you don't always have to win. Two people or two nations can have completely different versions of what they believe to be the truth and just this once, doing nothing is the better option and the more morally correct one.
It’s not often we agree lol, but I am with you on this one. Too many itchy trigger fingers looking to ramp up war. They both need to step back from this.
I didn't call for its destruction. I said I want it to cease being a relevant player on the world stage. I.e. to not have the luxury to fund and arm half a dozen proxies fighting its wars across a region 3500km wide. I think an irrelevant Iran makes the world a safer place.
Here’s my take on it. Donny announced a ceasefire, unilaterally and probably on a whim because he’s feeling the heat from his his MAGA base and doesn’t want to be seen as the President who drags the US into another endless war in the Middle East. He’s seen that the US have crippled Iran’s nuclear capabilities and a lot of their ballistic missle capabilities and thought, ‘that will do, now it’s time to get out’ I think he probably caught both Israel and Iran off guard with that. Both countries had no choice really to accept that ceasefire, but it’s not clear that both really wanted to. It doesn’t surprise me that one side is claiming the other has broken the ceasefire, because there are people who want to ramp up hostilities rather than seek a peaceful resolution. Donny won’t be happy.
It is only the morally correct one if the past two weeks have truly ended Iran's ability to wreak misery and suffering upon tens of millions of Sudanese, Yemenites, Lebanese and the wider region. Otherwise it isn't better or moral, it is just convenient. I see no sense whatsoever in leaving it as a half finished job. If indeed it can be considered 'finished', fair enough - Israel should turn the other cheek.
