Since most of our players still have a few years on their contracts we should be saying: "Nobody leaves in January, if we don't get promoted then we will look at offers in the summer." If I was a player that would sound reasonable.
Agree with above..why all but throwaway an £80m payout from sky in the long term to cash in say £4-6m in the short term? wouldnt be good business.
It's not quite as simple as that. You sell somebody and you also get their wages off the payroll. You may need to buy somebody and take their wages but not always. The Sky income usually involves increased wages and transfer fees. I agree with your general point but there is a lot more to the numbers.
I thought he looked gaunt, ashen faced and thin. Wonder if the stress is getting to him. Hope so, he deserves it.
Why does he deserve it? He took a job where if we are realistic, are a club with far more money than us, will at some stage play in the PL. More than doubled his wages, we would all do the same god, i have just done it. Football is a job end of, i don't share any grievance at Nigel Pearson he has a family to look after like all of us.
BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! I'm a Hull City fan. The Kunt walked out on us. That's why he deserves it.
As far as the Manchester boys are concerned, I tend to agree they will stay at least until the end of the season, if not longer.depending on how the team goes. NB will be the first one to tell them that if you are enjoying your football, and making a very nice living, which even at City they are, like himself who stepped down to play for us, to play football and enjoy it is better than sitting on a bench somehwhere. How many players have gone to bigger clubs only to be sitting on the bench, so at the end of the day it will be down to whether they are like Bullard, who is a greedy Bar Steward or not.
So am i, but we got a manager who has instilled some positvity and has let us win three games in a row. Why not try and reply with something actually has some sense to it.
There's a long way to go yet and Leicester could begin to climb into the top 6 or they could fade into midtable. As a Hull fan though you have to take a smug look at the table to see who at the moment things have worked out better for after NP's departure.
~~Lesta game. They should have lost looking at that goal mouth scramble, how Peterborough didn't score is a mystery. ~~Some home fans booing at half and full time (honeymoon over already). ~~NP almost losing his wrag already in BBC interview, "left the club" remark by interviewer pissed him right off. ~~NB has cash but not enough for all the work he has to do and no time for protracted wrangling in Jan. Worry more about the summer.
I don't want him to end up having another heart attack, that'd be a bit harsh. However, I hope he falls into a deep depression and ends up drowning himself in a vat of Patak's.
I don't know how many times I've heard this said and I also don't know whether it's a generational thing, but I was brought up to the think that there was more to life than just money. Self-respect, morals, ethics and showing loyalty to those who earn it seem to be dirty words 'nowadays, but they used to mean something. I know that makes me sound about 80 but I don't care. Pearson had a brilliant, very well payed job at City so the question of "looking after his family" never entered into it. The fact is he just swapped greed for commom decency and it's sad that so many people can't see anything wrong with that. Rant over.
Agreed. Great post Craig. I posted a few weeks ago about having two job offers one for a lot more money down south or one in West Yorkshire. I took the one in Wessie for family reasons. Not the same comparison as C*** but money isnt everything. Oh and please lose the racists coments off this thread. Makes you look petty small minded bigots.
Would we all be so bitter if the Thais only offered him the same contract he had here but he still went anyway?
It's time to move on lads. We've just won three on the bounce and all you go about is how many chances ****in Leicester had against Peterborough. No wonder they clog our board and call us bitter.
Good for you Chazz, sometimes you just know that something is the right thing to do and it sounds like you did it. I think this "Greed is good" thing is a disease left over from the pathetic yuppies of the 80s and now it's just accepted as normal.
You got these statistics from the BBC, thus are inaccurate, I can count loads more, Dyer had a shot fumbled by Lewis, and one cleared off the line, Lewis produced a world class save to prevent a St Ledger header, Nugent had a shot from the edge of the area saved and Gallagher's goal, that's five on target. We hit the post with Beckford. Dyer, Bamba & Beckford twice missed by an inch. If a team won, it deserved to be Leicester.
