I know we mess about on here, but none of that is funny mate, it's all very sad, but it demonstrates how depraved humanity has become, and there is no good side in this, only bad...the evil the world over scars humanity, if that was one of my kids, I would never forget and never forgive. It's heatbreaking.

Absolute nonsense. I have, including several times tonight called out the Iranian regime for the awful entity that it is. I’ve even suggested how it could be overcome from within if enough internal support is garnered for the heir to the shah

Putting into context how Iran behaves is not defending it and to claim that it is, is completely disingenuous and wholly incorrect. Claiming that I ‘rally to the defence’ of countries that commit atrocities is quite frankly bollocks.

I think it is you that requires some self awareness, in how you project your wildly inaccurate accusations, seemingly based on the fact that you simply will not or cannot accept any criticism of Israel

You routinely dismiss any organisation or body that exposes Israeli atrocity in Gaza, you make excuses every time it is highlighted and try to rubbish claims from organisations on the ground who deal with the reality there.

You sidestep the fact that Israel are in contravention of international law and you try to diminish the UN and ICJ when they call out the war crimes that are being committed.

You call out Iran for being in contravention of the nuclear enrichment programme, yet do not acknowledge that Israel will not declare how many nuclear warheads they have and wont even sign up to the NPT, which would require them to disarm.

In short, you are blinkered by your unwavering faith for Israel, and whilst you pay lip service to criticising Netanyahu, there is a stark contradiction in how you cannot bring yourself to condemn his actions.

in fact the other day you went as far to suggest that we should all be grateful to Israel for doing the dirty work ffs.

I recognise where Iran pose a threat and I recognise how little regard their regime have for human life and liberty to achieve their own aims. Yet you don’t seem able to acknowledge that same experience for Palestinians at the hand of Israel.

My issue is with Netanyahu and the fascists who back him. Not the country itself.

    Exactly this.

All for power and greed or because a made up book from thousands of years ago said it’s the right thing to do. Madness

It makes my heart ache seeing the pain and suffering inflicted on innocent people. Especially when it’s children who seem to bear the brunt of it all.

I don’t care what nationality, religion, politics or whatever cause is trying to be justified. It always comes down to the actions of a few power hungry psychopaths who will stop at nothing and will justify slaughter as collateral damage.

I just hope that I live to see a day where these people are brought to justice and those who genuinely want peace and reconciliation are given a chance to shape the narrative

There is no book that says this is the right thing to do though

    That’s lazy

more to the fact human beings are corrupt

you think this war is fought for religion because people stick to their religion for strength?

This isn’t a war created by God, it’s created by man for their political gains.

The world would be a better place without religion imo, it’s too divisive.

There’s a reason the holy land is a hotbed of dispute.

I agree humans are corrupt and man loves war for their own gains though.

The world is a hotbed for human corruption

Top 3 mass murderers in world history:

    2 Athiest(Mao and Stalin)
    1 Christian(Hitler)

    2 of European descent

I think the world would be a better place if there weren’t so many Godless people and an Athiest Europe tbh along with Zionists of course

Admittedly, religion probably keeps some people in check but imo it’s just another thing that keeps us all divided from each other.

My point about the book saying about land was about the promised land. IMG_1866.jpeg

That’s an excuse by corrupt humans

2 of the biggest wars of the last century were not religious

We should ban football to start the process of unity off in small steps tbh

The only common denominator is humans

    they are the problem

Humans will always find a way.

I couldn’t think of much worse than a world full of self worshipping Athiests and that is the problem…man without check will start to worship one’s own arrogance. Netanyahu or the Iranian ****s won’t be able to find a single quote in either of their books justifying innocent slaughter.

Athiesm is also a religion, the worst kind as history has proven

I've never seen you put anything Israel does into context. Not even begrudgingly. If you can find me a single post you've written since Oct 7th (and you've written hundreds) that does so and does so properly, I will apologise.

You rush to do the same for Iran at every opportunity, even when doing so requires some impressively speculative acrobatics.

You are unable to draw a line in the sand between any two actions Israel does. You prove this clearly in your comment above:

"in fact the other day you went as far to suggest that we should all be grateful to Israel for doing the dirty work ffs."

I very clearly and obviously meant this in reference to what Israel is doing in Iran. That and that only. But your brain reads that as if I'm saying it about everything Israel does. Because to you, it is a zero sum game. Nothing Israel does can ever be anything other than the work of the devil, which is precisely why in over a year and a half you haven't posted a single comment offering context for what Israel does.

Iran? Sure you claim to hate the regime but the situation there is much more nuanced, right? The deaths of millions in Syria, Sudan and beyond is harder to judge, right?

    1) No evidence of a nuclear weapons programme.
    2) Not worth mentioning involvement in other world conflicts.
    3) They had a desire to negotiate which is now in tatters.
    4) Western sabre rattling is to blame.
    5) This will escalate and lead to terror attacks in the streets of London.
    6) Iran only does what it does because of Israel's desire for regional dominance.

You've offered the above context (and more) over and over again. Absolutely zilch for Israel. Ever.

Iran builds a secret nuclear facility deep in the mountains next to the Fordo valley in 2006.

At the time, there isn't a weapon on earth that can penetrate the facility.

The secret is uncovered by intelligence services in 2009.

Iran claims that the facility is enriching uranium for "domestic and medical purposes".

IAEA reports that up to 400kg of highly enriched uranium is missing and unaccounted for. It is enough to make 8 nuclear bombs and no one knows where it is.

    Meanwhile, Ponkie, Fosse, etc...

I'll tell you exactly where his views come from, I remember a discussion over something once and information got put up on here without any link, so I went and checked it, the detail came from the Socialist Worker Party, I've seen SWP being discussed on another political thread on not606 tonight which nudged my memory, this is their stance, people like Piskie have their heads well and truly down this rabbit hole...

Now for the Jewish perspective on this...

Would those 'intelligence sevices' be related to Israel or Israel's biggest arms supplier in any way? ... if the answer is 'yes' go straight to 'blinkered bias' before taking a leap to 'weapons of mass destruction' ... and take your partner for the 'poor us - everybody hates us - not like we are doing anything unprincipled and against International Law in Gaza or The West Bank' squaredance ...

I've never defended Iran in any way shape or form ... you, on the other hand, have frequently used daft stats in attempts to defend Israeli disregard for International Law and basic humanitarian rights ... way to go champ....
