Us Scots are more caring about others - well, most of us are. There are a few who dress up in orange sashes and march around singing songs about being up to their knees in Fenian blood, and worshipping a gay Dutch king of England from 330 years ago for some strange reason.

My old mobile phone is on its last legs. Will not respond to my prodding, and the battery goes from full to empty overnight. So I have ordered a new one, and starting to wonder where the SIM card is in the old one. I must have an instruction booklet somewhere, but just where?

There should either be a removable slot with a small hole in it on the side of the phone, or it's by the battery inside (depends on the phone model).

35°C is too hot to do much outside, so I think our dustmen had a late start. Mme tells me they woke her up at gone midnight. No hearing aids in, so I heard nothing.:emoticon-0113-sleep

Our binmen go in early in hot weather... I missed the food bin last week and, to say the least, it has been absolutely minging since:emoticon-0119-puke:! Any numpty that reckons fortnightly food bin collections ought to be a thing need their heads testing!:emoticon-0181-fubar

Orange warning is in place for very hot temperatures. We actually hit 40°C this afternoon, so went to the supermarket, where the aircon was working overtime. Many others had the same idea, so it was anything but quiet. Similar expected tomorrow.

Is it being blocked? It will be tragic if fawa goes completely.

Greetings all from Bulgaria. WiFi a bit intermittent likely due to folks streaming a film, having been told not to. A very warm 35 today in Pleven.

And greetings from Bucharest, where it's a ridiculous 38°!
And the water levels are too low to risk our journey to the Black Sea. Irritating but nothing we can do about it. I think we're trying to get back the other side of Iron Gate 2 [a lock] and deeper water. One boat has already run aground further downstream so we're on Plan B, if not Plans C, D, and E!
Disappointed because it was the Delta and Wet Lands that were the main reason for choosing this trip.
