Was back in to physio for a scan this morning on the hamstring tear... still a fair gap where the tear is, which means more walking (on the flat) and another scan and laser treatment next week... fingers crossed. He was hoping it would have healed further by now. Lugging suitcases about at Leeds Bradford on the way home hasn't helped matters - was feeling pretty good when we left Majorca. Holiday was great though. Spent a small fortune, but ate and drank well.
Made a silent enemy in a tiny Chinese woman with an irritating face who doesn’t put her weights away and does Bulgarian split squats on the one bench press. Xi wouldn’t allow this but here all standards are out the window.
Not to go all Sucky but the gym etiquette of foreigners is on average far worse. He’d say this but he last saw a gym in borstal in 1993.
If Farage promised corporal punishment for people doing half reps at a weight too big for them while spending five minutes on their phone between sets at peak hours I’d be out knocking doors for him. Life is too short to not hate strangers for incredibly trivial things. Just bring back corporal punishment anyway. Free up prison space.
To be fair, Refrom will probably come for the brown people first before they come for the Jews, so I think you’re right to address this Gym issue in the short term.
Probably safe to say we aren’t going to be involved too heavily in any wars when we can’t secure our own RAF bases from a couple of keffiyeh-shaggers armed with spray paint cans.
Indeed, a big empty void of existence that we attach meaning to in a desperate attempt to ward of the futile nature of life Happy Friday though.
Was out on the MTB in peaks early this morning. Some simple trails and the last run down hill I followed a friend. his crash lead to my crash, couldn’t avoid him, thankfully a good helmet and a roll when au hit the dry ground sorted. Was more worried about the bike being okay.
It’s horrible that feeling when you know you’re past the point of no return and you’re going to take a hit. I went OTB on a nasty rocky downhill section when my front wheel fell into a gully. I got launched over the bars and narrowly missed landing on my back on a horrible jagged lump of granite.
Well I can barely bend over this morning. Lower part of my back seems to have taken the brunt. Good excuse to miss the gym.
It’s **** being injured. Just take it for granted. A couple of weeks since I did my shoulder and it’s nearly as bad as when I did it. A good excuse to get down to one of those little Thai women to stretch it out though if the back has gone.
