I was just reading that. It highlights the issue of not having a manager though. Two offers being negotiated. What if the new manager doesn't want them?

To be fair, the decisions seem sensible enough. The 7 leaving will clear a chunk of change from our reduced budget.

It'll be interesting to see what senior players will be moved on, or ask to leave.

Us being linked with a striker suggests Robinson and / or Salech will be leaving.
It would be nice to keep Salech as he should tear L1 up. It would also be a statement of intent.

There should be the core of a decent L1 side in there even if we shed a few of the higher earners and don't bring many replacements in.

League 1 won’t be like the old style division 3 - a strong core to the team with some league experience supplemented with players with real pace - give the lads who shone in the U-21’s a real chance.

Totally agree Remote. I thought O'Dowda was our best player last season. But we are a third division side now and if a bigger club comes calling…

I was puzzled by the booing he got from the Oxford fans until I realised he’d played for them before he was a wurzel<doh>

I’d chip in for Robinsons taxi to any club

I can only guess we're not offering what they think they're worth.

As for being BBM''s decision I'm sure I read he won't be in place until the coming Monday.

Pity they are both leaving. I thought they would have been valuable in Div 1 if they stayed fit.

I hope this means the club want to make room for some battle hardened, seasoned Div 1 players. The youngsters will need some experienced heads to guide them and call the shots on the pitch when needed.
