Last night the TMO tried to implicate a Jock late on for lifting a French player - the English ref quite rightly said that he saw nothing there.
Breaking news: 18 Welsh players selected for the lions tour. The bus leaves Cardiff for Longleat tomorrow morning at 9am.
It's a fun game to watch. Very early days but I'm liking the off loading intent. And the Argies have been good value. Tomos Williams has been very sharp.
Van Der Merwe lost the ball twice - two tries to the Argies Curry (fell for the dummy) and Pollock missed the fly half - end result was the winning try.
Yeah there were some poor performances, the 14 was lauded by commentary but I didn't think he was that great. Argies deserved the win, I was surprised how well they played actually. It's hard to get really engaged when there are only two Welsh players in the whole squad and neither of those are likely to play a test, no matter how well they might do. I thought Williams looked very good but Gibson-Park will be the test starter, even if he's on crutches, probably. Russell and Williams could have been a dynamic pairing. Looks like Farrell might be bringing his son in as well
The big winners last night were: Russell, Lowe, Keenan, Kinghorn, JGP, Conan, VDF, Porter and Sheehan: none of whom played The big losers were Smith, VdM, Mitchell and ‘Bollock’, who not only missed the tackle for the winning try but then lost the ball to enable the Argies to boot it out to finish the game. If Andy Farrell has any sense, he should send not only for his son but also Faletau
