Evening All, back home after my whistle stop tour of England. It does seem that quite a lot has happened while I have been away. I will have to set aside some time for a really good read. Good to see that the tradition of the Watford forum has been maintained by discussing the EU. I will add some thoughts of my own when I have read the French newspapers and see just what they are saying. My only comment at present is that some of the British ones have hardly covered themselves in glory.

Strangely enough as I was travelling down this afternoon I was able to just about pick up R5Live north of Orleans. 1-0 to Watford came over the fuzz with a short time left. 15 mins later I thought I heard 1-1 as a final result, but by then reception was almost non-existent. To actually receive a medium wave transmission that far south was quite amazing.

So I need to get my wine levels back to normal now. Plenty of real ale over the past few days, but it doesn't stay in the system quite as long as a drop of red. It will be good to get back in my own bed tonight. Five different beds in five nights is quite disturbing, especially when you know that you cannot have a lie in to recover from the previous day on the roads.

Welcome back ofh - we missed your flying fingers this afternoon & have had to make do with some semi-literate yorkie bars instead.

I know what you mean about beds. We are spoilt by having a craftmatic - amazingly comfortable - but find that we hate going away because 'nothing compares', and hate waking up with sore backs. :(

Nice to be back BB, although have just received some very sad news that one of my monthly dining partners has died today in "tragic circumstances". It puts my backache into some sort of context.

Good evening everyone. A good result if you look at the numbers, all except 95 anyway. Even a point against Leeds would have been good to lose two points so late is not good.

I might see if mum still has hers, cos if she does she can have it delivered to home hopefully in time for Xmas, or else i run the risk of not getting it in time. :(. If not then i will have to come begging you and hope it gets here in time lol. Yeah, her feet were frozen, other than that she was ok according to her, but she warmed up and dozed in the car so was ok. Yeah she liked it, and it was a good game to see on her first time.

Morning all. Cold here but at least it's dry and reasonably still. My teenage sons are still in bed - no surprise with youngest but it's unusual for eldest to have a lie-in.

H, Dan has answered the question I asked you but I'll give you the honour of letting him know.

Britt scored 2 of Wealdstone's goals in their 5-0 win against Uxbridge in the FA Trophy yesterday.
