So off we will go again. Will it be an exciting season or one of forelone hope? Mr Heckinbottom is quick off the mark rebuilding his type of team.

Preston North End are delighted to confirm Robbie Brady has signed a new deal with the club.

The Republic of Ireland international has extended his stay at Deepdale by at least 12 months, with his contract also including the option of an additional year.

Robbie first joined North End in July 2022 and has gone on to make 100 appearances for the Lilywhites over the past three campaigns.

Robbie said: “I’m absolutely delighted. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and I’m looking forward to another season ahead.

“The manager’s been honest with me since the minute he came in and I think we've got on since. It's been brilliant for me to be able to go back and forward with the manager like that.

“I know he has trust in me and from chats I've had with him he gives me the confidence that I need to be able to perform. Like I said, I'm looking forward to another year of working with all involved.”

The 33-year-old arrived at Deepdale with a wealth of experience at the highest level, having played more than 150 times in the Premier League, and his cap tally for Republic of Ireland now stands at 70.

Robbie’s enjoyed some big moments during his time with PNE, notably his stunning free-kick against former side Burnley in the Emirates FA Cup fifth round which was voted as the club’s Goal of the Season.

Manager Paul Heckingbottom said: “Getting Robbie signed up for next season is great news for us.

“I think his quality’s there for all to see. He’s got a great delivery with his left foot, he’s a player who can do a number of different jobs for us as we saw last season, and he’s got real fight in his game.

“He’s someone who can really impact matches. He’s a big part of things behind the scenes, too, so we’re really pleased he’ll be here again next season.”

He is the experienced player more than anyone for the younger ones. Maybe we will see more of them?

Preston North End are delighted to confirm Pol Valentín will join the club on 1st July 2025, subject to international clearance and a successful visa application.

The right-back has signed a three-year deal at Deepdale and becomes the third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Jordan Thompson and Daniel Iversen.

Pol has spent the previous two seasons in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday, accumulating 77 appearances in English football.

Pol said: “I’m feeling so happy to be here. Since they called me, they made me feel like ‘You’re going to feel at home. You’re going to feel like you’re in a family.’

“I’m very proud. I’ve spoken with different people that played here, for example Bambo [Diaby], and people who know the manager or how the club is. They told me about the club and said they’re the best club for me. I didn’t have any doubt to come.”

Growing up in a footballing family, Pol’s career began in his native Spain, representing Valencia and Sporting Gijon, among others.

In 2023, the now 28-year-old made the move to Yorkshire to join up with Sheffield Wednesday, where he became a popular figure among the fanbase.

Pol’s contract at Hillsborough is due to expire at the end of June, and he will officially become a PNE player on 1st July 2025 ahead of the new campaign.

Manager Paul Heckingbottom said: “I’m really happy we’ve got Pol joining us. He comes with good experience at this level and he’s someone I’ve been impressed with over the past two years in the Championship.

“He’s an athletic full-back who uses his pace really well to get on the front foot and be positive in the final third. He’s another good addition to our squad.”

Looks to be a good signing—hopefully, a Heckingbottom choice and not just a freebie.

Preston North End are delighted to confirm Kacper Pasiek has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 19-year-old had a one-year option exercised at the end of his scholarship last summer and has now put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Deepdale.

Kacper joined North End at a very young age and has progressed right through the ranks, going on to play a key role in the U19s winning the Youth Alliance League and Cup in the 2023/24 season.

The left-sided defender earned senior experience during the 2024/25 campaign by featuring in a number of first team matchday squads, while also enjoying a loan spell with National League side Altrincham.

    Congratulations on your deal, Kacper!

Well, if, in the case of someone like Ledson. there is no progression, then it is probably time to let the squad and himself refresh themselves. I notice that other released players have hardly set new clubs on fire. Where are they now...languishing.

Preston North End can confirm that Theo Mawene has completed a move to Premier League side Brentford.

The North End academy graduate makes the switch south with the Bees paying a significant undisclosed fee which increases based on future success and PNE would also receive a percentage of any future sell on fee.

The younger brother of current North End midfielder Noah and son of 2000s defensive stalwart Youl, the 17-year-old made his senior bow in a 3-0 defeat to Leicester City in April 2024 to become the seventh-youngest player in the club’s history and the latest member of the Mawene family to represent the club.

The second of his two senior appearances came when he replaced Stefán Thórdarson as a substitute in last season’s FA Cup quarter-final tie against Aston Villa.

Becoming a key player for the club’s youth team, Mawene scored and starred in last season’s unforgettable 4-1 FA Youth Cup victory against Liverpool at Deepdale.

Everyone at Preston North End would like to wish Theo all the very best on his move to the Gtech Community Stadium.

To sit on the Bee's bench, but didn't seem to impress for NE'S 1ST TEAM. We will see what the Summer Equinox reveals.

DANIEL Jebbison is set to head to Preston North End on loan after the Championship club agreed a deal with AFC Bournemouth, the Daily Echo understands.

The deal will see the Canadian head to Preston for the season, with no obligation to buy him come the end of the season.

This will be Jebbison’s second Championship loan while at the Cherries, having been sent to Watford last season.

He’ll be hoping this move will be more successful, though, as his time with the Hornets was disappointing, and he was recalled in January.

But Jebbison had an encouraging second half of the season with Bournemouth, playing an important role due to injuries in Andoni Iraola’s team.

He scored three goals for Iraola’s side, netting twice in the FA Cup against West Brom and Everton, and once in the Premier League, a late consolation in a 3-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Jebbsion joined the Cherries last summer after leaving Sheffield United.

This season has seen him receive his first Canadian call up and make his international debut, and he is currently at the Gold Cup.
