Was Harrison really want away? Sure he buggered off to Everton but... didn't radz try and force him to go to Leicester earlier that season before the '9ers stepped in and he was given a new contract with a relegation escape clause. You can't expect loyalty from players when you treat them as a commodity.
That’s why I have a modicum of sympathy with him. It was really the comments from his mum that caused issues with the fans, who I assume attributed them to him.
ah yeh forgot about his mum honestly this rat thing is so over played, it's a professional career, people need to accept it. Judge players on the efforts they put in when they wear a shirt. Harrison always gave 100%, like aaronsson.
You’re right of course and it is a sensible attitude, something not associated with us football fans. Realistically, what player wouldn’t accept a relegation clause if offered? Club should have set a release fee and no one could then moan about it, aka Ipswich with Delap.
The players are what the players are. All you can ask for is maximum effort. The DOF buys them, the manager picks them. We all have our opinions on who is or isn't good enough, as long as i see them try i'll blame the guys that bought/picked them. Except Meslier of course Seriously, my beef with Meslier was that we didn't get a replacement, not him personally. He's a talented lad who needs a fresh start and some confidence.
Talking of Meslier - It's been quite a while since we have been linked with a Keeper and no new names have randomly appeared. I wonder if we have someone pretty much ready to sign on the dotted line
I don't think Darlow has done anything wrong in goal, he has done the basics, not been stupid, not been really tested though, I know we need better but Darlow as a #2 is fine by me
There's alot of talk about keepers moving. We'll have to wait for dominoes to fall and see who is available.
