Really like this lad. Has loads going for him. Good finisher, left foot, right foot, head. Good movement in the box. Can really hold up the ball too back to goal, stong and really aggressive against the CB. I think he is ready for the prem personally.
Aye but the quality they’ve lost ain’t easy to replace. Kerkez, Huijsen and Zab are all absolute ballers.
Lot of people can take blame, not the point though and it's good to see us target players who won't have that issue.
Eh? He's going to be in the squad so RLB will assess him and see. Thats my point. Not saying we shouldn't sign another centre back. Unless you're suggesting we sell him and he can become one of your enemies?
I think he's class. Only young and is fast. He'll probably end up at Chelsea. Others would be able to give you a more detailed counting report than me.
Impossible to know whether a player will settle or not, the club will be doing all their due diligence as to whether they'll settle into the squad and the country Hopefully they'll learned from some of our other foreign signings and decided what did work and what didn't work
While I instinctively say yes to trusting the club, our (thankfully failed) pursuits of big money strikers have been almost universally bad thus far
Does seem like a shift from signing players whos ability we like to doing more background searching and character assessment for the squad, isidor and le fee both came in speaking pretty great english and succeeded - that should be the key and sounds like our new DoF is quite adept at finding the right characters who speak the right langauges.
No you miss my point. The big money strikers we are verified to have chased have often been poor targets when viewed with hindsight. Even on the targets we've missed, how many of them have gone on to be massive breakout stars? Only really Stassin springs to mind for me. Whereas the list of players where I go 'thank **** we missed out' is miles longer.
Cannon is probably a decent player but not really what we needed, so agreed that our targets have been off at times.
https://sport.ua/news/771605-dinamo-poluchit-25-millionov-evro-kievlyane-prodadut-lidera-v-klub-apl According to the source, the main favorite for signing the Ukrainian was the English "Sunderland", which was ahead of other clubs of the Premier League in the fight for the Ukrainian. "Dynamo" set the price tag for the Ukrainian - 25 million euros, and the "black cats" agreed to pay this amount for Vanat.
Cannon we pulled out of because the price was too high. We refused to match that high so ‘big money striker’ was because of Sheffield United as in Adam Armstrong on loan? akpom had a goal or assist every 2 games at Lille just didn’t get consistent game time
I’m not desperate for him tbh i just think the Rusyn comparisons are very lazy. It’s the same as comparing Ian Poveda to Marcus Edwards
