One time I knew a guy that was Turkish Cypriot and he'd never done his conscription, which I believe was compulsory back then, don't know if it still is - the problem was his family was back home, and he couldn't return otherwise they'd throw him in prison, I think eventually he bought his way out of it for something like £2k, although that don't seem a lot, so wonder if I've got the amount wrong.

Real have been circling Trent like a vulture for a couple of years, so you gotta wonder whether Trent is the fullback Alonso would have wanted, had he been given a choice.
Ironically, the full back Alonso had been using at Leverkusen has taken Trent's place at Liverpool, and Frimpong is a very different player from Trent.
I have a feeling that Trent and Alonso might not see eye to eye in some cases this season.

Always prefer a home game for boxing day. If it's away hopefully it's only London or Oxford.
From the short bits I’ve bothered to watch of the European teams I doubt the players will be losing much sleep over it and just want to get the **** out of there. Probably a big bonus for them if they win it but they’d all rather be at Ocean Beach.
