Anyone else feel like, from that interview and his social media post, that he is trying to over do it a bit with the 'I'm back' stuff since leaving Fenerbache?

I've never been one to jump on him but he certainly seems to be ramping up the media stuff at the minute. If that means him throwing himself at it again with better people around him we might benefit. People will stuggle to deny it was ace when he was winning transfer windows and we were chasing play offs.

 

If we sell our better players and bring in unknowns from europe and beyond, I’ll have no faith at all in this season.

 

It’s a bit like when a bloke leaves his wife for the woman he was having an affair with and when that goes down the pan, he has to go crawling back to his wife with promises that he’s changed.

The decision to extend would likely have been made whilst Selles was in charge before end of season, potentially exercised on a certain agreed date but notice would have to have been given it was being done to the player and his agent well in advance of it happening.

Dublin, and then Hodge are unlikely to have extended his contract and then suggested he is released, or even for those who like to imagine Acun in a wolf suit, the big bad turk go over their head and just release a player they've extended on.

 

Maybe so. Or maybe it's like a man who owned several businesses and one of them consumed his life to the point where he realised it wasn't the joy he expected and his real happiness was with one of his smaller companies where he can enjoy the day to day and still ride around in his speed boat without people trying to lynch him?

 

Obviously Acun only agreed to release him if he mentioned the family before he left.
