A first day Burnley defeat and a Sunderland win would give us the advantage going into the second game in my opinion …

… six points would be a fantastic start and a fair percentage of what we’ll need.

I’m not going to be cautious, not my job.

Good opening fixtures although that December does feel like the league is punishing us for having the audacity to be hopeful about the first few months. Hopefully Pep continues to forget to get his teams firing until after the new year begins and we don't get mauled.

Last away game at Evertons new ground. Pickford to drop some clangers to ensure we finish in champions league places.

According to the Athletic based on last year's finishing positions we have the easiest first 5 games

Anyone else actually a bit nervous / annoyed we have an "easy" start. I can already hear the negativity if we lose the first couple. "only harder games to come, its over" etc.

Absolutely not. Rather we have the best chance to get some points on the board.

Yeh I do agree with that. I'm just nervous as to what happens if we maybe only get 2 points from those first 5 games. If we'd had tougher games people would be able to say "its been a tough run" but now the opposite is true.
