Yeah I get that but it'd be a really interesting game to open with and playing them early is also probably my best chance of a ticket. Suspect either one of us or Leicester will play them as the EFL like to have these sorts of games on the opening day.
I reckon Birmingham could be at home to either us or Leicester on the opening Friday. That would be a proper blockbuster to start the season.
To each there own but I don't care about an interesting fixture. We play them at some point in the season anyway, I'd rather do it when I think we have the best chance of winning. I agree that it's highly likely that us or Leicester or to a lesser extent Ipswich of Sheff Utd will play them though, and probably away. Since we got the away slot at a newly promoted side to open the season on Friday night last time, while Leicester got a home tie against a long term Champ team. I hope the roles are reversed this time personally. Be a better story for the tv too given they are recent PL champions.
Yeah I do understand but as I say I really want to go and the earlier it is the better chance I have. We should also be beating them whenever we play them and there's a chance they have loads of turnover also. I also disagree about not wanting an interesting fixture as I think it increases the hype much more compared to starting with say Preston at home. Got a feeling we might start with Charlton at home anyway so Sky can have the return of Jones storyline.
We’ll be in their documentary when they beat us whenever we play them. Just be a longer feature if it’s the first game of the season
