I would agree, but did he leave altogether? If so, that is a sad outcome. I haven’t noticed him anywhere else lately.
Yep just thinking that. I think the ban was only from here, but the fact that he hasn't posted anywhere else actually proves the point that he was just a toxic troll.
A trade deal done with Trump although there's confusion as to who it was with. “I just signed it, and it’s done. And so we have our trade agreement with the European Union, and it’s a fair deal for both, and it produces a lot of jobs, a lot of income,” The Trumper was warm in his praise for a fellow leader who is not a political soulmate. “We’re very long time partners and allies and friends, and we’ve become friends in a short period of time. He’s slightly more liberal than I am,” “The prime minister has done a great job. I want to just tell that to the people of the United Kingdom. He’s done a very, very good job. He’s done what other people, they’ve been talking about this deal for six years, and he’s done what they haven’t been able to do. So he’s done really a very good job.” I wonder if there'll be a Trump tower rising to the skyline in London soon.
I thought this was a joke, parody Trump but no it's yet another bit of presidential profiteering. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cjrld3erq4eo please log in to view this image
Did anyone else see the comment from the high court judge about VAT being charged for private school education? Paraphrasing it went something like “Being able to charge VAT for private school education is something that the country would not have been able to do, if it was still in the EU. It is a benefit of Brexit that this tax can legally be applied in this case.”
Tejon I had been following this story with a degree of interest albeit more due to the fact of thinking how this will benefit future building projects. It is interesting because private schools do provide a revenue stream for contractors but i think that adding VAT to their fees will free up alot of money for much needed expenditure on state schools. I just think that everyone will benefit if money is ploughed into state schools. The infrastructure is in need to refurbishment or even rebuilding and spending money on state schools will have the benefit of helping the economy too. I get the fact that many of the people sending theirs kids to public schools are not necessarily rich. However , it is unjust that some kids are able to have a better education bought for them. Using the VAT to invest in state schools will stimulate the economy. I applaud this decision.
Yet again, the impression is that Trump does not know what he is doing. I am staggered that he has called for Tehran to evacuated whilst at the same time dictating that he has no desire to involve America in a war which is of little import to the Americans. Tehran has a population of 10 million so there is no risk whatsoever of Iranians taking Trump at his word resulting in more people in the Middle East becoming displaced. Clearly there will be no link between Trump's assertions that the Iranians should flee and more migrants crissing the Channel. It is inconceivable that the West might just be culpable for the escalation of migrants from this part of the world! I cannot understand why Trump's comments are not thrown back at him.
No desire to involve America you say? "Trump demands Iran’s ‘unconditional surrender’ and says US won’t kill supreme leader ‘for now’ Donald Trump has posted on social media that the United States knows the location of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He added that the US would not kill Khamenei but called for Iran’s “unconditional surrender”. “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social. He followed up with a second post a few minutes later, writing: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” In a post published about thirty minutes earlier, Trump said, “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran.”
All this is pretty scary in my eyes. It looks like Israel have realised they can do whatever atrocities they want in Gaza without hardly a murmur of discontent from the west & therefore moving sights to another foe will also be “accepted”. Dangerous precedents being set here. World police doing whatever they want & screw the fallout.
33 Palestinians killed at a Gaza food distribution centre after Israeli troops opened fire on the crowd. This is now the norm in Israel. Sickening.
The same can be said about bringing the railways back into public ownership. That might not have been possible if we'd remained in the EU. It's the reason the RMT leadership at the time recommended their members vote Leave.
I need to stop reading the BBC comments. It’s basically turned in the daily mail comments page. There are people that feel we should deal with small boats like they’re an invading army….. on top of the bordering xenophobia / racism. If Reform get into government, I think this place will truly worry me
I spent last weekend with a nutter from Reform who shated these views. A nazi swastika hungun hid stairwell
