If he goes to them....it will just show what a shower if **** we are!

    No escaping it!

With the right tools, he will get them promoted.

To be fair to us, our last two managerial appointments have actually been decent.

Gary O'Neill has been touted...strongly in some quarters.

I wonder if they are influenced in their thinking (possibly unconsciously) by us beating them that Friday night?

At that point we were heading for mid-table, Selles appointment was unquestionable and the football (at least away) was decent.

All the way up to the Bristol City game where we played them off the park culminating in Pedro's wonder goal. Even after his sending off we played like a quality Championship team and could easily have held out to win except for that debatable penalty.

Stop looking at us at that point and Selles to a side pushing for promotion next season makes sense.

Which just reinforces the question what went wrong after the international break?

And why was Selles unable to address it?

And the Sunderland game too, was a small little window we showed class and was enjoyable to watch. Loss of Matazo killed us stone dead but after the international break we was probably one of the worst sides I’ve ever seen and it all just fell to pieces.

We've been shocking after every international break for years now so I doubt it's simply down to the manager. It's a weird one, like us usually losing the last game of the season regardless of how we've played during it.

    Answers on a postcard.

Some players were told that they would be getting sold at the end of the season, this upset the little snow flakes so they downed tools and sulked.

    Allegedly.

but that doesn’t explain the awful performances after the other international windows. Players not away on duty, less training & more alcohol maybe???

What it may explain is that the story above is and was at the time a load of bollocks.

It seemed to me like he completely bottled the pressure and decided to play for some 0-0s to keep our head above water.

He didn't account for the likes of Derby and Luton to start picking up loads of points and catch us up.

He never had a steady team, it was constant changes. Having said that, I have no doubt he will come back to haunt us.

agreed…played not to lose & ultimatey it worked, I wouldn’t say that was bottling it, I think it was very sensible given the strikers he had, but **** to watch for us fans.
    But he did his job

Apparently the Sheff Utd board want a yes man. Be interesting too see how he goes. If he was a decent manager or not, I’m 50/50, if I was a Sheff Utd fan I wouldn’t be hugely excited tbh.
