Kusini Yengi has signed a pre contract with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen. The 26 year old striker will be eligible to play in Europe next season in the Europa League. Best of luck, Kusini !!

The 23 year old American born defender has recently been on loan to both Bradford City and Ross County in Scotland, and has seven USA U23 caps.

The 6' tall attacking midfielder was born in Gosport, and played for Pompey academy, before being lured to Chelsea. He played for England from Under 16 to Under 20 level, but made his name at both Reading and West Brom. The player is apparently keen to return to PFC.

According to The News, John Mousinho is interested in the 5'8" tall winger/attacking midfielder after a standout campaign in the A-League. The 21-year-old featured 24 times in the league last season, including 14 starts, and contributed 13 goals and two assists, with five goals in the Asian Champions League taking his overall total strikes to 18. However, his contract at Sydney is now set to expire, making him a free agent and had led to speculation over his future. With part two of the summer transfer window set to open on Monday, it’s understood the Blues have been keeping tabs on Adrian Segecic, who finished the 2024-25 season as the league’s joint-top scorer and Sydney FC’s player of the year. He is an Australian under 23 international.

Both Wigan Athletic and Plymouth Argyle are attempting to sign 23 year old forward Christian Saydee during the transfer window. I believe he is still under contract, so we should be able to request a decent fee for him. Argyle must be desperate to sign a new forward having lost their top scorer Ryan Hardie to Wrexham today !!

Dutch side AZ Alkmaar are also interested in signing him. Brescia are under financial pressure to sell players, so Pompey are trying to act quickly! The 5' 10" tall player can also play at left back, and has played 30 times for the club, as well as winning two Under 18 caps for his country.

The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal after an undisclosed fee for training compensation was agreed with A-League side Sydney FC. He struck 18 goals last season, which included an 18-minute hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over Central Coast Mariners in January. Blues boss John Mousinho said: “Adrian is a really exciting young player – one of the hottest prospects coming out of Australia at the moment. “He was top scorer in the A-League last season and collected plenty of individual awards, while gaining recognition further afield as well. “We’ve already had some success with bringing people over from that part of the world and we hope that Adrian can now make a real impact at Pompey. “He’s very attack-minded and is happy as a winger or in the number 10 role. He’s creative and plays with plenty of energy, so we’re delighted to have him here with us.” Segečić had trials with the likes of Ajax, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Rangers earlier in his career.
His surname suggests he is of Croatian/Serbian ancestry. If he is as good as Prekki or everyone's favourite whose name escapes me, he will be a good player.
Christian Saydee has left Pompey to join League One side Wigan for an undisclosed fee, Ides. Hope he does well there. I met him last year at a PFC I.O.W. Supporters club function in Ryde - what a thoroughly nice chap he is.

please log in to view this image Both Pompey and Oxford United are after Luton Town midfielder Shandon Baptiste, the 27 year old, 5' 9" player who made his name playing for Brentford. He has been capped three times by Grenada. Only problem in my mind is that he appears to be injury prone, having suffered at least four dislocated shoulders in the past few years!
Wonder if he is any elation to Eldon Baptiste, the cricketer. There was also a Baptiste in the "Beggar & Co/Light of the World" line-ups. Great name that suggests he has Spanish/Portuguese roots. Just looked it up - it is of French origin.
Given where he was born and his name, he might be eligible for three international team. Australia, Greece, Cyprus and you never know, Ireland.

The Blues are said to have offered a deal to the MTK Budapest man, as they look to kickstart their summer transfer business. Kosznovszky has two years remaining on his contract with the outfit, who finished fifth in the Hungarian top flight last term. The player has been tabled a three-year deal worth £300,000 per year - or £5,700 per week - plus add-ons, according to Italian sport journalist Lorenzo Lepore. He has 12 Hungarian Under 21 caps. There is reported interest from Championship rivals Norwich and Blackburn amid talk of a £500,000 deal for the player.
