It certainly was a poor advert for top football. Two distinctly average sides competing in a pretty meaningless competiton designed to generate money. I'm also glad Spurs won it but mainly because it meant Man U didn't.
With players, managers and agents all talking about too many games, burn out, overload injuries, and after the worse season for decades, why the hell are Manure on an end of season tour? Bonkers.
But Wales not given a goal when the ball clearly crossed the line. No goal line technology. Bloody robbed.
That was extraordinary by PSG - as perfect a performance one could ever imagine. Astounding all round.
TBF to them it was a hell of a performance. Horrid club nowadays with fans almost on a par with Real Madrid for arrogance and 'demands' but I was pleased for Enrique, he seems to be a decent guy who has been through huge tragedy on a personal level. Funny how a team can shed their superstars and then become a better team for it. Should really send a message to the rest of football that ridiculous fees and salaries aren't necessary needed for success, but somehow I don't think it will.
I wonder how is style will be received north of the border? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cx2e1jx9zz8t
We really don't need him anywhere near us again. I wouldn't disagree over USA, Africa, Asia or Scandinavia though.
Would have preferred to see him involved with us. But that would have meant working with VT and the Chuckle Brothers.
Today is the day that I (and BFB) qualify to buy tickets for Wales trip to Wembley in October. BFB had already told me he wasn't going, so I thought about a drive up to London and back to watch the game might be a nice day out. Well I logged on to find the cheapest available ticket for a pensioner is seventy quid! Plus a three pound booking fee! Seventy three quid to watch a friendly! Sod that for a game of soldiers. I'll watch it on the telly, if it's on.
