It looks like a Tinnion inspired signing if true, I'm not exactly ecstatic.

How many assists, that’s more what we need, someone to link our play in the final third - that was as much a failing last season as the forwards.

I hope Struber is able to work with the players that are put in front of him by BT like the others have had to do and doesn’t expect to be able to choose his own.

Not ripping up trees is he… That said, he was in a team that were as poor as can be under Rooney, so maybe not fair to judge on last season alone. I’m guessing he meets our No1 criteria though, he’s not expensive…..

interesting that right up until Boro stated an interest in Edwards, he was allegedly our clear No1 pick, but now he appears to have lost out. So, begs the question, did he really miss out, or were our board scared he’d choose Boro over us if offered both, then they would lose Struber, so they offered it to him….? I guess we will never know.

Was he chosen by LJ, DH, NP or LM?
It has to be one of them surely? Otherwise it shows that the players are not selected by the manager - and that doesn’t sit well with some …….. <cheers>

    Ok not logical.
But before he's appointed or a ball is kicked I'm not liking the look of Struber.
He looks menacing, not a good trait in my book.....and his record is nothing.
    And he's ex Barnsley <steam>

Whereas Hogg knows the set up, players (who responded brilliantly last Autumn) and in my opinion deserves this opportunity.
    Bloody Tinnion.

take away Carrick signing and Struber was already available since end of May! EDWARDS may have been top of the list [ according to bookies 1 /3 odds and therefore media ] it may have been a bump in the road on behalf of RE .... HESITATING for maybe Middsbro job!
WHAT NO ONE KNOWS is the names on the list... past occassions there has been clarity when the board "hint/ say strongly" x y z were never on the horizon yet bookies/media had them pasted as dead certs

If it is to be Struber then the question has to be asked, was he the best qualified/experienced for the job with a track record of promotion to the Premiership with an unfancied team like Edwards ?

Didn’t he also see them relegated two seasons following though. Any appointment is a risk, I’ll wait to judge him on how well he does, I never really took to Manning if I’m honest. Let’s hope we can ALL get behind the new man, whoever he turns out to be.

Can’t say I took to LM either if I’m honest
Yes, Edwards saw them relegated from the Prem but that was no surprise given their resources
And yes he was sacked as Luton struggled to adjust to life back in the Championship
But personally I’d have picked him over Struber

Given what Edwards did with Luton and their limited resources, made him for me, the best pick. We don’t know about Struber, he could be the next Thomas Frank/Daniel Farke, who knows. I’m at least glad that the final 2 were young modern managers, not an old dinosaur like Bruce, Mowbray etc.

Perhaps the smell can't be detected in Austria. Rob would have been my first choice just because he has charisma and not a sneer and I can't see the string pullers liking a teutonic attitude that will.certainly bite back when under threat. Good luck but as usual I'm not too impressed.
