Yeah need a bit of variety in tactics and personnel to give different options as and when needed. Hoping Frank is a good enough coach to be able to do that.

£30m is the fee being mentioned. Less than half what they were looking for in January so that's a plus. Don't think I'd have paid a penny more though.
Didn’t Spurs already pay a substantial loan fee in January? Total fee for him is around £40million I think.
I remember it being 10m Euros. It could be in addition to that, or knocked off the total. It's not clear from what has been released. He was good in flashes last season...but there's a fair way to go before he's worth that fee. I'm a lot more hopeful that he'll get there under Frank's coaching than under Ange. Good luck to the lad. He has great heart and all the talent, so fingers crossed.
Tel has making of a decent player , full of confidence, has pace and skill and importantly he wants to be at the club now
I just think it ticks a lot of boxes for the club with the fee and his age so possible sell on value if he does well on a few years. Spurs seem to have a lot of signings that are young and cost around £30-£40million. I don’t want to see anymore signed this summer, any further signings need to be ready made players
Bang on. For £30m I can live with that Tel deal but now it’s about proven pedigree. We need at least 3 senior players, ideally 4-5 to really have a go at making an impact in the CL.
Depends on what's being spent on what For example, if we sign a backup LB then it's not a problem if we spend £20-30m on the previously-linked Maxim De Kuyper from Brugge because given he's 24 and already has 10 Belgium caps, so while he's not ready made he certainly isn't a raw talent - though on the other hand, signing the also previously-linked Peyton Miller from New England Revolution is firmly in the raw talent category as he's 17 and has 10 MLS appearances to his name so is less raw and more steak tartare
Need experienced players who are close to their peak and good enough now rather than someone who could be very good in 3-5 years time as there is plenty already there (Gray, Odobert, Tel, Bergvall, Moore & others) in the squad now.
At the very least De Kuyper looks ready to fit into the Trippier/Doherty role of letting both Udogie and Porro know that, if their form drops for a couple of games, there's somebody ready to take their spot in the next starting lineup Given he plays both flanks, that also gives us adaptability so we aren't locked into like-for-like tactical subs, too
I know next to nothing about him but a quick look at his career stats show he’s played regularly in the Belgian top flight over the last 3 years and played 10 games for the national team so yeah would hopefully be ready to play and contribute immediately if Spurs decide they want him.
Also worth noting Milan and Liverpool have been linked with him, so he's not a cheapo signing Then again, a section of our fanbase say that Solanke and Johnson were cheapo options, because a combined £110m worth of transfer fees is "cheap" now...
On average signings will underperform their transfer fee. Obviously the more inexperienced they are the more scatter there will be on their performance. So if we sign six young players we will likely get two really good players and four below average ones and if we sign six experienced players we will likely get six below average ones.
Mbuemo One of them pain in the arse players with an end product everytime I watch him I think he’s got a goal in him and massive handful for defences hope he joins us
Obvious thing with Mbuemo is there's also plenty of chatter about Wissa leaving, so Brentford are in a position where they know they can sit and wait for offers - and if one leaves, then they can dictate terms for the other as they don't have to sell at that point
