Those that aren't now fully established towns, yes. Bear in mind some 'settlements' by the strict definition of the term have populations of 50,000+ people. Eradicating them is simply impossible. Those larger towns must therefore be compensated for in land exchanges.
Fair play ... and respect... ... and nighty night ... ... plus ... you can keep Diego involved by periodically moving the torch light from one corner of the room to another... but I'd just switch off and get some kip if I were you..
So do the Israelis, wouldn’t you agree? Both Israel and Iran are democracies of a sort, in that both have elections in which religious fundamentalism plays a significant part. I think there’s probably more chance of Iran evolving into a genuine democracy, than there is of Israel remaining one. That’s if the whole region isn’t reduced to rubble first. Ps. Top of the league yet?
You’ve conveniently left Netanyahu out of that list. He both allowed funding for Hamas and supported their rise in order to diminish the PA
you can take your pity and shove it up your dirty ring piece. What the US and Israel have just done is accelerated Irans desire and ability to produce a nuclear weapon. pricks
I'm gonna argue this likely falls into the middle ground and that Iran were likely pushing their limits as much as possible and Israel/US have been waiting for an excuse
There’s probably all sorts of grey zones on both sides with this. But ostensibly Iran were being monitored by the international community and both Iran and the rest of the world had a working agreement on whether Iran would produce a nuclear weapon. Contrary to CK’s patronising and misinformed nonsense, the JCPOA and all of its members were in agreement that Iran was upholding the terms of the deal. Warmongers like Netanyahu though have seen how weak and malleable Trump is and have taken the opportunity to throw all of that on the bonfire because of Netanyahu’s stated aims to ‘reshape the Middle East in Israel’s favour’ And lapdog Trump has lapped it up because he thinks he can work his defunct deal maker magic and win himself a Nobel peace prize. And now the pair of them have created a situation where we have the UK, France, US all being dragged closer to all out conflict with Iran, who whatever people think, have every much right to defend themselves as much as we’re always hearing about Israel’s right. We also now have a situation where Israel faces bombardment from Iran because of Netanyahu’s actions. He has directly put his own people in the firing line and this will only serve to ramp up even more tension and hostility. I honestly don’t think Netanyahu gives a **** about ordinarily Israelis, to him, like the hostages, they are leverage for pursuing his agenda of war. Watch this space, we are being primed for Iran being the next Iraq, the rhetoric is exactly the same. Weapons of mass destruction and the need for regime change …. and there are some on here who are lapping it up.
Honestly the only thing that's surprising about Iran being the next Iraq is that it's 2025 and it still hasn't happened yet. It feels like they have been talking about invading Iran since 2005
Like you say ‘waiting for an excuse’ In the same way that Oct 7th provided an excuse for Netanyahu to pursue his expansionist agenda in Palestine,(It was never about the hostages and it was never about Isreal defending itself) the enrichment of uranium in Iran is an excuse for a pretext for war with them and the stated aim of trying to topple their leadership. Again because of Netanyahu’s stated aims of reshaping the Middle East in Israel’s favour. There’s a decent appraisal of the situation here : Is there evidence Iran was working on a nuclear bomb? The Israeli military said it had accumulated intelligence showing that "concrete progress" had been made "in the Iranian regime's efforts to produce weapons components adapted for a nuclear bomb", including a uranium metal core and a neutron source initiator for triggering the nuclear explosion. Kelsey Davenport, director for non-proliferation policy at the US-based Arms Control Association, said Israel's prime minister "did not present any clear or compelling evidence that Iran was on the brink of weaponizing". "Iran has been at a near-zero breakout for months," she told the BBC, referring to the time it would take Iran to acquire enough fissile material for one bomb if it chose to do so. "Similarly, the assessment that Iran could develop a crude nuclear weapon within a few months is not new." She said some of Iran's nuclear activities would be applicable to developing a bomb, but US intelligence agencies had assessed that Iran was not engaged in key weaponization work. This March, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told Congress that Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium was "at its highest levels" and "unprecedented for a state without nuclear weapons". But she also said the US intelligence community "continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei has not authorised the nuclear weapons programme that he suspended in 2003". "If Netanyahu was purely motivated by Iran's proliferation risk, Israel would likely have shared that intelligence with the United States and the initial attack would likely have targeted all of Iran's key nuclear facilities," Ms Davenport added. The entire article is a bit longer and some won’t bother to read and inform themselves, instead swallowing the sabre rattling bullshit that will be justified as Iran needing a slap, when what is needed is deescalation and getting back to a working nuclear deal because all that is happening at the moment, is that Isreal is pushing Iran ever closer to producing nuclear weapons. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn840275p5yo.amp
CK you clearly don't understand the rules on this thread, no one cares about Sudan, Yemen or Syria, despite me and @Saf posting many articles arguing the plight of those countries. Much like no one seems to care about Ukraine these days....or young Russian soldiers dying on the front line. They all become irrelevant to people when Israel defends itself. It's like Iran, I don't think anyone has directly said they have weapons of mass destruction, it's more about maintaining that they don't have none, and that they have been enabling young men from many countries to do the dirty work for them for many years, in which their sole aim is to obliterate Israel. Anyway there is one observation I have noticed, Iraq happened on Labours watch, Iran happened on.... food for thought bro.
Anyway going to turn the tv on, out later, but first things first, check if Israel have managed any more hits on Irans military capabilities. please log in to view this image
