The bidders must be getting closer now, but Knapper is right to hold out for our valuation. Sainz seems to be more upset by the suggestion that he would be signed as a backup rather than a starting player.
It's that kind of attitude that makes me think Sainz might favour moving on as a free agent. In that situation he can call the shots.
It is, but it seems to me to fit with the path his career has followed up to now. But as you say, what do we know.
There's also the £1m+ he would get as his share of a transfer and a big boost in salary now that could bring in millions more over the next year.

I am sure Norwich will be able to negotiate £12.5m down to a more realistic £8m he will probably be sold on the last day of the window.... might be a tad cynical, but I would say 12.5 for him is a good deal for is
I've heard the BBC is offering a prize to anyone who manages to make sense of that cryptic remnant of a hitherto unknown west Australasian proto-language.
Just because there was a post between the Sainz conversation haha. Australians get quite defensive over their accent: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-10...ds-because-our-forefathers-were-drunk/6892910
I did wonder Zog. Just hoped you hadn't been heard rooting for the Proteas in the match off at Lords!
Many supporters have an inflated views on the value of their players. Delap, a future International according according to many experts, sold for £30m, Rashford available for £30m, Watkins available for £40m - how can Sargent be worth £27m? I can't see any club offering more than what Leeds have allegedly offered although I cannot really believe that rumour as Sargent does not have enough top flight experience or ability to help keep Leeds up there.
And the point 8 is strange. Why not £17m. Leeds are an English club, they all offer in pounds sterling.
Delap was only sold for £30m because he had a relegation release clause for that amount in his contract when signing. We turned down a £20m+ offer for Sargent from an MLS side last summer. He’s gone on to prove once again that he can score consistently, he’s just coming into his prime and still has 3 years remaining on his contract. We are also under no pressure to sell our most valuable asset. 20-25m is a fair price in today’s market.
When do you ever see anyone sold for the value on Transfermarkt? If a player is in good form you can double sometimes even triple the value that they hold on there, it is a guide at best. Would you sell the below players at the current rates below according to Transfermarkt? Mahovo - €200k Wright - €800k Fisher - €1.5m Nunez - €6m
