With Denzel Washingtons upcoming retirement I'm making a point of going back over his career. Enjoyed Flight again and He Got Game. Malcolm X tonight. <diva>

Properly going through his back catalogue, right up there with the very best and his sons have taken up the cause.

Got an hour left off Malcolm X great film.

    Sinners - 6.5
    Decent but overhyped.

    Accountant 2 - 7.7
Not as good as the first but still an enjoyable watch.

    1923 Season 2 - 8.4
Taylor Sheridan doing Taylor Sheridan things.

Sounds like there’s gonna be quite a few more Yellowstone-verse shows to come out in the coming years too. Y:Marshalls focusing on a Kayce spinoff, a Beth and Rip spinoff, The Madison which is supposedly a sequel show to Yellowstone starring Michelle Pfeiffer, 1944 as a further prequel extension like 1883 & 1923 and also a 6666 Ranch spinoff. Usually I’d say it’s being milked a bit too much now, like how TWD was but every show has been quality so far so I’m just looking forward to them all.

    Deep cover

See if you ignore the utter stupidity of this film then there's a very good chance you'll enjoy it. Genuinely funny, several laugh out loud moments and a good cast doing good things.

    7/10

    Murderbot

    Just gets better and better.

    Stick

    New Apple series.

Owen Wilson plays a washed up golf pro who finds a child prodigy teenage golfer and takes him on the road in pursuit of golfing stardom and Benjamin Franklins.

Pretty funny stuff from the whole cast.

Sounds the same as Adam Sandler's Hustle just with basketball instead of golf.

Got my head bitten off by my (in their 20s) daughters - and the missus - who loves to pile in on moi - the other night whilst watching Sinners ... for innocently remarking "anybody else seen 'From Dusk 'Till Dawn'?..." as everything began to kick off <laugh>

Sinners is a good film but, imho,it's been Pantherised!

That is it has been overhyped and overpraised because it's a Black movie by a Black director filled with a Black cast. The film is as Jamie Foxx would say, blackity Black.

But Fossie was 100% correct, its a direct rip off of From Dusk till Dawn.

The reason I'd say FDTD is the better film is because it had originality. It also had Tarantino dialogue and an excellent cast delivering that dialogue.

And there's also Salma Hayek dancing in her undies.

It's ironic though that in that Blackity Black film it's the white English guy that steals the show.
