Home!!! ... pissed down all the way ... but at least the Heads of the Valley bypass is now fully open... and most welcome - not to mention pretty impressive...@Chief @luvgonzo
Yup - but one that will save a lot of time ... plus the mountainous scenery is something and will all be really beautiful (if that can be said for anything not so far from Merthyr Tydfil!) once nature has done her bit on the post construction earth mounds ...
Morning - having done the 4 hour drive last night had to take my middle girl to catch the 03:50 train ... she's just landed in Sardinia ... I've just got out of bed and am sitting in the sun with a first coffee of the day and a couple of warm Welsh cakes... intending to do **** all for the rest of the day apart from getting some beers in to watch the rugby this afternoon ...
Where my girls ate concerned; certainly am... and absolutely content to be ... nothing matters more to me than their health and happiness ...
Yeah, used it the other week going up and back to Manchester. The final cone was removed after 25 years of widening (some of which I worked on way back). A couple of genuinely impressive structures along there. Shame they've made sections 50mph due to 'emissions'. What utter bollocks that is. Was on the M4 last night around half eleven and it was genuinely biblical and pretty ****ing hazardous. The rain was ridiculous. My new parka came in very handy last night.
Came down the M4 on Wednesday night, was the same ... ****ing torrential ... concentration levels need to be at max coz there are some right twats either going way too fast or, and almost as dangerous, way too slow when that sort of rain comes ...
