Some people hate the Allams that much that they’re unwilling to entertain that their successor can be just as bad, if not worse.
This owner is a million times better than Ehab was. He's made mistakes definitely, but he's put his money in and tried to involve the fans. Is there any one out there that would buy this club and be any better. I certainly don't think so. Ehab couldn't care less about the club or its fans. It was purely a business to him. As long as he could peacock around he got what he wanted.
The money's come in via loans, but they're still underwritten by Acun Medya, so he's still liable for all the money spent and it's a lot of money.
They're certainly both put in money via loans, though obviously the Allams had the money already and loaned it to themselves, so weren't ever at risk of having the loans called in. I never had an issue with the Allams putting the money in via loans, it was by far the most tax efficient way of using their money.
Care to read what I posted again fellas? It's really not hard to understand. So tell me where I said it was BS that we were bringing in a British coach? The BS bit is the wild speculation, carried by a few on here, about the last bit. I've even put it in bold for the hard of reading. I do worry about some of you. -> Nah, it won't be Daws. Aren't you listening to those ITK? They've told us we're taking on this additional 'British' coach so that we have Jak's replacement already in the building. #justonemorethingtoaddtothegrowingBSlist
Why not? What difference does that even make to anything? I don't know if they're saying he's British, English, been based in Britain, or what. Hence the quotation marks. I don't get why a couple of you don't just hold your hands up and say 'ah yes, sorry, got it wrong'. You know, that thing that I'm supposedly not capable of doing but have definitively proven otherwise on several occasions now, whilst it's certain others that seem incapable. Give it a go, it's really not hard. Please let's not get into a row, it's been going so nicely recently
The difference is you seemed skeptical of us getting in a British manager. The difference is if it IS a British manager, hired independently of Jak's main staff, then it lends credence to speculation that he's being hired as a point of continuity external and independent of Jak, and could therefore be viewed as a 'back up' if Jak moves on mid-season. Got what wrong? Baz mentioned that the British manager is being hired and Jak is having a say in who it is. What exactly did we get wrong?
Is he employed by the club? Does the club pay for the podcast? If not, why can he not present the podcast however he wants to? Have you thought about not listening to it? It's an option which I've taken up, frees up time as well.
And if Acun is unhappy with the way Baz speaks then Acun will stop speaking to Baz. It's between them. Not sure why GFAW feels the need to dictate how a podcaster can speak on their podcast. Free press is still a thing isn't it?
We’re not holding our hands up and saying we got it wrong because there’s nothing to suggest we’ve got it wrong. We are just making conversation and speculating based on info from that pod? If the coach either doesn’t come in or gets sacked alongside Sergei if that were to happen then we would be wrong. It’s not like someone’s come on here and categorically said “oh this bloke is 100% coming in to save the day if needs be Acun told me so” It’s the sodding offseason. There’s been 1 transfer. We are just making conversation as there’s not a lot to go off both positive or negative.
Could be half as long if Baz just asked his guests "And what do you think?" rather than "Katherine it seems that Acun is trying to bring in a new manager to replicate the style of play he's wanted for a number of years now but it will be difficult to do that without a number of transfers which is going to be difficult to do without shifting a number of players out and people are getting fed up with a churn of players every off-season but it seems the only way he knows how to operate which will make things tricky for Jakirovic but it looks like the way the club is going to continue to operate, what do you think of that?"
I thought Ehab was dementor like. And sucked the life out of everything to do with the club. Acun at least tries to be popular. These people are here to make money ultimately. It would be worth asking what people expect from a prospective owner. Looking at our history there has been some shocking ones and very few diamonds
