    Depends where the 1st gen is from really.

    Irish and English have pretty much the same culture and beliefs and speak the same language these days.

    Much like the Ukrainians that we brought over... Not heard a peep of trouble from them.

    I couldn't even remember the proper name of them as I was writing, I'm like **** knows they go in the ceiling. Think I've got rid of all the dodgy ones now , bought some last for decades ones (my mental arithmetic is not very good lol), which will probably pack up within a couple of years.

    I think with these longlife bulbs lamps, well I won't have to change them anymore, they will out live me...

    I got one in a bedroom lamp, and it's gone already and I had to replace it...although I didn't pay top dollar for them, I just thought as long as they last longer than they normally do. Plus I don't like lamps that get hot, my house is hot enough lol...but maybe they are all cool to the touch now.

    yeah ours are in bathroom as most difficult to get a so naturally they're blowing in about 18 months .
    Luckily the wifes physio is tall and they seem to blow just before she is due so get het to replace them .
