His contract is still up in a year and he wants out. I think he will leave when the window opens properly. Wouldn’t happen but I’d happily take him at Spurs. Good quality, good age and experienced.

I'm a big fan of Mbeumo. He's the type of player defenders hate playing against. I'm not sure where he fits in though. Frank could go with any of 433, 352, 4231 and probably more - he's very flexible in that regard. Johnson, Kulusevski and Mbeumo all competing for the same spot? I can't see it.
Kulusevski into the 10 role, I think he fits that better for Frank’s system than Maddison as he’s better at pressing. Then Johnson and Mbeumo as RW.
Maddison didn’t wait until Frank was appointed though. Bet Romero had it written since last weekend and was just waiting for the ‘right’ time to release it.
Reports seem to suggest that we’re moving strongly for Mbuemo. As I’ve said before I’m wary of this one, we could end up overpaying for someone who’s had a bit of an outlier of a hot season.
It’s what Spurs have to do imo. If he had another good season then the price will likely be out of range for Spurs. The good thing here is he’s worked with Frank before so will know the system etc
