this. they present themselves as the epitome of how the game should be played, but if they're not winning they're one of the most underhand teams around

Someone said the other week that he'd broken his foot and should return in January.

Can't stand Pepe either, he is a horrible ****. He also stamped on Felipe Melo's achilles in the World Cup. Just a nasty piece of work.

But I also can't stand this.

Barcelona and Madrid both kill the competition of the Spanish league to preserve themselves, most notably with those TV rules Liverpool wanted to introduce over here a short while back <doh>
Fantastic sides but... they have their dark sides.
Plus who really knows how much Messi is on? Half a million a week?

I must be the only one thinking that Messi would get battered in the english game.

No, I've thought this for a while. It's the one thing that Ronaldo has on his side in the Messi/Ronaldo argument.

I don't know how people can say Barca don't spend money?! Just look at recent purchases like Villa, Cesc, Alexis, etc. Everyone credits their academy, but really they're good at buying late-teenage kids everyone wants from the rest of Spain or South America, because naturally every kids wants to play for them.

That said, they play the best quality football in the world, and I dislike Real Madrid more. But I just don't think it's fair to say Barca doesn't spend money like Man U, Madrid, Milan, etc.

No chance. That Madrid game under Ramos is a perfect example, and he's also performed excellently against Man U and Arsenal in the past. Neanderthals like Karl Henry and De Jong wouldn't be able to get close enough to him to batter him. <ok>

Their president's a cock. They don't need to spend the money they do, Villa's the only necessary big money signing they've made recently, the rest have been wasteful, none more than Ibrahimovic, god knows what he cost in the end. <doh>
