Wow! That's a superb indictment of our fabulous club and of Jobe himself....what a fantastic lad he is! All the very best marra.....you'll always be one of us!
Its an odd things losing players under this ownership. Selling Stewart hurt as I loved watching him, selling Clarke hurt as I loved watching him and Jobe is much the same. I do think Jobe will level up even further and go on to smash it despite the silly comments on this move. Lovely lad as well. Slightly less melancholy but those upstairs have proven that they'll give us new lads to follow and ,the more I think about it, the more excited I am to see Mayenda and others have a go at the prem if I'm honest.
Well thought out and meaningful leaving message. Hope he goes on to achieve his full potential and we can all say we gave him a helping hand along the way.
Interestingly this one doesn't feel so much of a sickener to me. It just feels right. I actually feel less bad about this than I did about Clarke leaving when he did. As that move didn't feel right for any of the parties, and felt forced. This just seems to suit everybody. I think if we'd stayed in the championship I'd feel a lot worse about it.
Tell you what, mind, never seen young footballer so mature like them, even though I've heard Mark isn't that pleasant him and his mam have done a fantastic job at raising them
Plenty time to go, its only the start of June. Exciting times and looking forward to seeing who we go for
Of course. As individuals they have been great. Obviously the team around them, moulding them from a PR POV are elite too. The club should be commenting and announcing departures before any player or brand though.
It is weird. Thought he might have just jumped the gun a bit getting that out there first. Do you think it has actually been agreed to be that way?
It's definitely in keeping with my only sore spot on this that the whole thing has felt completely orchestrated and out of our hands. We did well to get the fee we did so I don't think it's cost us. But it really could have done. There's been a confidence potentially boardering on arrogance from his camp about the way they've just decided to "move" him and leak to the press who he's "chosen". Him coming out with a statement before its even confirmed just re-enforces that "this is the Bellingham show" feeling. It's no big deal though.
