Defo. Just interesting that most of the success is uk based players.

Mayenda is the exception. Could probably make a good profit on Isidor if we wanted to sell him too

Definitely riskier for us when buying from abroad. Get it right and the rewards are massive - like Mayenda as you say. Bringing Isidor has worked out very well too.

Hopefully we will get better at identifying the right players from abroad and working out if they have the character to succeed here.

I think it’ll be better now we can spend more money on them. More likely to get better quality players from abroad. Hence Le Fee etc

Isidor and Mayenda could be our first imports to go big, they already have looked very exciting players , and top strikers are priceless .

Mayenda was a slow burner so I'm reluctant to write players off.

Triantis and Aleksic have talent, as have others, and will at least attract a decent fee if they go.

Sometimes that's all you can hope for with a squad of players.

As a club we are so well run now and our standards and professionalism now is so high, even players we get with lesser ability and potential are going to improve because of the environment we have now. The jury is still out on Aleksic and Triantis for example in terms of how much they can progress. Even if they don’t hit the heights of a Jobe, a Rigg or a Mayenda, they’re still going to improve and hopefully return us a profit when they do move on. It all contributes to the model we’re adopting.

Don’t get me started on RLB

my mate still thinks we got lucky in the play offs and RLB isn’t PL ready because he’s not flexible

    it’s a tough conversation
