    Two then? At least possibly?

The Guehi bid and the Elanga one?

That was good biz, I don't think anyone debates that. Buying a player for £2m then selling him for £30m a year later is mental.

I think a player that may go under the radar from a winger perspective is rafael leao. Apparently wants out of Ac. Tonali may be able to swing him. Be a statement signing

Isn't he predominantly LW? Perhaps if we sell Barnes or Gordon.

It’s the day after a superb Nations Cup final. Why am I sat here waiting for @Roland Deschain to post about rumours that we were in for Nuno Mendes two years ago but Howe turned him down? Seriously though that was the best performance by a left back I have seen for some time. Think him against Murphy is going to be quite a duel when we meet PSG in the Champions League.

Livramento could still go to city, the price is north of £80m.

Can't see it personally, Pep wants to trim the squad and hes got:
Khusanhov, Gvardiol, Reis, Ake, Akanji, Dias, Lewis, Stones, and then Nunes and Reilly playing at the back currently. Unless they are selling a couple he's not going to want to add to their squad.

Maybe, but then Pep's full of **** at times. Said about squad trimming, he's already signed Reijnders and is close to signing Cherki. Of all the players you've listed, none are a decent right back and he doesn't trust Lewis.

To be honest, if they're willing to offer over £80m then I would be very surprised if we didn't accept that amount, great player though he is. It's a vast sum of money for a RB. Where did you read that they were offering over £80m?

I don't think £80m is overpriced, people are forgetting that he plays in 2 positions so realistically we would be down 2 players and £100m would be nearer his value.

But, but, Mitchell said £40m was overpriced and the transfer policy was all wrong...

Nowhere important, one of the podcast types. £30m for Frimpong seems absurd in comparison.

£80m wouldn't be hugely overpriced in the current ridiculous market, no, not when we're being quoted £50m+ for Elanga and £60m+ for João Pedro. But I still think we'd very likely accept an offer of £80m+ as Roland is suggesting could be forthcoming. It would be sad to see him go.

Wouldn't make sense because then we would need a LB and a RB,is Hall going to be fit for August,if not we'll be back with Kraft,Trippier,Targett and Burn:shocked: unless Alex Murphy is getting a squad number:undecided:

We should follow Man U lead and start firing people. We can start with the scouting setup as all it seems to be is, ask Howe who he wants from the premiership.

I'll keep my powder dry for now but I really do hope they know what they are doing because we have to get this right. Our squad is poor and our 1st team needs reinforcements in 3-4 key areas. Spunking all the money on premiership quality and overpriced players seems risky.
