Big blow to FIFA: Cristiano Ronaldo isn't interested in playing at the Club World Cup Because even he knows it's a load of old bo**ocks.
Germany Vs France in the third place playoff in the Nations League. All this and the World Club Championship to come- too much excitement for me.
I lost interest in football years ago, it's sole purpose is to make others pockets lined even more. Non-League is the way forward.
There certainly is too much football coverage now. Too many ridiculous competitions and over-blown leagues. EFL Trophy group stages? Nation's League? The third tier being called "League One"? Utter nonsense. Nobody is fooled. "One" implies it is the first, or top, of something. Pathetic and silly.
Modern sports are being marketed to death. New versions are created, then forced down punters' throats as though folks had been crying out for them for decades. 20-20... The Hundred... And how many versions of 5, 6 and 7 a side are there now in football, rugby etc. Every match has to be the greatest sensation of all time. Commentators squeal like pigs on a honeymoon. Give it a rest!
The World Cup qualifiers - and our friendlies - are an absolute joke. Groups filled with teams who will never get anywhere near a Finals tournament even if it was expanded to 64 teams. Who cares if Ivan Toney plays against Senegal, or Serbia, or Albania? He gets tougher games in the Saudi Pro League. Minnows should have their own tournament. Principalities, tropical atolls, City-States and tax havens should compete for the World Vase (or something). Gibraltar vs Vatican City San Marino vs Rockall (3rd place play-off)
I heard on the radio news Forest have written to UEFA trying to get Palarse kicked out of the Europa League. Forest would then take their place in the competition. Class Trouble for Palace is, the rules are the rules. UEFA bend rules all the time, but rarely for English Clubs.
Thomas Tuchel He's going to win us the World Cup They're training with a smile on their faces The shirt weighs heavy We've heard all this crap before Ivan Toney, 88th minute
Great to see Trent Alex-Arnold speak in Spanish at his unveiling ceremony at Madrid. I, like so many in our country am totally useless at languages so hats off to him
Yes, sounded like he wasn't too bad at it either. Some learn a few phrases for a speech, and you can almost tell they are reciting from memory and don't really know what they are saying. Trent did better than that. Liverpool fans won't be happy of course. The man obviously is being honest when he says the move is a dream come true. How dare he diss his old homies that way
Thomas Frank is the new Spurs manager https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c626ye4re0xt You can guarantee within a month of the season kicking off the fans will be on his back for being boring. Tottenham is nothing at all like Brentford.
