A very brave one I would suggest but nothing wold surprise me. We all know it will be a random bloke from Serie A though in the end with very little grasp of the English language....
Nah think it almost certainly be someone who has managed in the Premier League before. Ange was the biggest risk Spurs took, I think they will play it ‘safe’ this time.
One interesting thought: as things currently stand, Lange is still at the club even with Paratici coming in Could be an interesting chain of events if Paratici works on the large pieces of the jigsaw who can come straight into the team for our opening match, while Lange looks for another Bergvall in the hidden corners of Europe who can be drip-fed into the team and will be hitting their stride during the run-in Hopefully without the meeting explaining their new positions looking like this...
Ornstein's claiming that the women's team manager is getting sacked, too! Last one out, turn off the lights.
It’s very likely Frank will be our next manager and it will be interesting to see how we line up next season. 23/24 season Franks Brentford were predominantly set up as 352 / 343 but last season Brentford were mainly 433 with the DM dropping back into a back three , fullbacks pushing on and wide forwards coming more inside in possession. Very similar to how we played under Poch with Dier as the DM dropping back and Walker and Rose bombing on. Every Spurs fan and his dog knows we need a top quality DM so hopefully under Frank this will be a priority signing as we don’t have that player ( maybe Gray one day ) in our squad. He prefers a midfield three with a DM and two number 8’s either side, one of them is usually more attacking and creative like Damsgaard and we have Bergvall, Maddison, Bentancur, Kulu and Sarr so we are well covered there. I’d love us to sign Eze but not sure how he would fit into Franks vision as he prefers wide forwards ( Mbeumo and Schade ) who are direct with pace. Obviously he could come to Spurs and set up in a totally different playing style but this isthe way he fundamentally likes his teams to play.
Please not another Portuguese manager. We need a progressive manager I would have thought that was obvious.
Frank to me looks a safe choice. I voted other and think that we need to look for someone different so how about Sarina Wiegman!!!
Based on her selection policies, we'll be receiving transfer requests from Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma, Danso and Spence by January...
Looks like the pendulum is swinging back to Thomas Frank. It's very uninspiring but having read up on him a bit more, it appears that he's more involved with training, prefers 4-3-3 but will also adapt the formation when required. He has the ability to actually improve players too. These are the issues some of us complained that Ange did not do. Perhaps this may be an inspired move to steady the ship over the next few seasons and see improvements with the coaching/training etc that will see the team performing much better. Frank's is not my choice but perhaps it may work!
We can at least rule one out then, although I expect more posts like this to come in the next week or so....
The best of those being touted I think though... Will he come though? Is my old brain playing tricks but do I remember him turning someone down before and stay as he loved Brentford so much...?
According to Fabrizio Romano, Thomas Frank wants to join spurs. But no doubt Levy will bulk at the compensation package that Brentford are hoping for. Silva it is then!
